Video just showed Giggs talking to Simpson in the tunnel, always love it when United players are classy to those that didn't quite make it. Giggs classy as ever.

I liked seeing him pick the ball up, take a couple touches forward, and then get rid of it. He's remarkably good on the ball, but didn't do this at all against Marseille.

I'm in the minority, but I'd say the midfield's done better today than in the past few games. I thought Carrick's played better than he did against Marseille, Fletcher's given us width, Scholes is Scholes, and Nani is the link to the forwards.

Good half from Wigan. Smalling looks assured at the back again, and we've played a lot better through the midfield than we have recently. I've enjoyed that half.

To be fair, Carrick hadn't had a great season. As much as I thought he should be selected, it didn't surprise me at all he wasn't.
