Still prices him out of about 96% of the worlds clubs.
Not if he takes a pay cut of 100 or so. He will still get 500 which makes him better paid then nearly everyone. The loaning cub gets him for 0 fees and 200 a week then it looks like a good deal to me. And Real win as well not only saving 300 a week but getting rid of a player that they want rid of desperately

Some perspective on the Reguilon links:

Basically, just because we've been offered Reguilon doesn't necessarily mean that we're actively pursuing him. Another thing to consider is the fact that the player may want to return to Real Madrid in a few years or Real Madrid may want him back.
So, they don't really reveal anything that we don't already know or that we couldn't surmise ourselves? Something along the lines of "there is some interest. Will they sign Reguilón*? That remains to be seen". *Replace Reguilón with any player we have a remote interest in. They keep peddling the same cr*p week after week with a slight variation on personal terms not being a major problem.

To be fair, United themselves haven't necessarily approached Reguilon. All we know is that Real Madrid are shopping him around, and we were one of the clubs that they offered him to. That's pretty much it. They're saying what they said because a bunch of fans think that we're actively pursuing Reguilon, which we aren't.

Dortmund are being very particular about the structure of the deal they want as much up front as possible this may not be enough even though it is the price they asked for.

Appreciate the summary :D

I think they want all of it guaranteed at the end whilst we want to save up some money via performance-related bonuses. I don't think installments would necessarily be a problem for them.

Dortmund must have a replacement lined up already because they're not walking away from that deal, neither are we after letting the world know he wants to join us

Yeah it's more about how much is guaranteed and if the bonuses are realistic.

Installments are normal and they front load the full guaranteed fee on the books anyway so it doesn't really matter.

No new CB then...
Ya this and Rojo comments make it seem like we're holding off on cb for this season. Tbf, if we're delaying with the intention of signing Upamecano for £45m next season it's not that bad. I think lb and Sancho should still be higher priority. Maguire and Lindelof are acceptable for 1 more season

He really needs to stop with the overhyping of our youngsters.
Ridiculous of you to say this when only last season, Ole has developed Greenwood into one of the best prospects in the world. I really would take his word seriously as he has established his credibility in identifying young talent.

What’s wrong with what he said?
Nothing. Remember Ferguson comparing Phil Neville to Maldini? Labelling Brown the best natural central defender he had seen? The list goes on. Nothing wrong with building their confidence. If they cant take these type of remarks, they are in trouble soon anyway.

So basically we've offered 108 that they asked for but they want slightly different structure. They'd be insane to turn down that deal plus United could offer a player on loan or another sweetener (first refusal, sell on fee etc). This one's getting done.

Basically, Fenerbahce have stated that they're in negotiations with Lazio to sell Vedat Muriqi. Typically, when a Turkish club announces this, the deal is close to being sealed.

Will we be reimbursed if his performances turn out to be no good for us ?

On a free though and he has still played well for Wales. Plus he has had a good rest for the last year!
His motivation is low, his injuries are high, and it'd just be mad all ends up.
