We don't have anyone like him. No player in our squad wouldve scored the header that he did. In fact not many in the league would.

We play better with him because we have the other option that is his great movement and aerial ability.

Delighted for him. Hope he stays.

I was slagging him off last week but he was brilliant tonight. He looked really fired up and perhaps looks like he may stay? I loved that diving header as they’re so rare these days.

He's the perfect example of what a top professional should be. Elegant on the ball, top mentality, hard working and world class in front of goal when given service. I'd be happy for him to stay another year.

After a real lull, that second half was great. Looked pissed off at having a goal robbed from him.

Cavani was excellent today but mostly agree with this. Having a top class CF makes a huge difference to us, whether Cavani is capable of being that guy over an extended period or not.

I think he's been pretty average so far but this was a standout game. I feel like any team who sits deep and doesn't have rapid CBs will be ripe pickings for him - great roe model for the younger guys.

Involved in all 4 goals, scoring 2 himself. Great game. As a retired striker of 30 years old, his movement is unreal, must be the best in the world.

He’s 100% not that guy over an extended period. I’d like to see him retained regardless. If he’s up for it he could be a great squad member for the next 2 or 3 years. Not sure he’d be up for it though.

In fairness, I don’t think we’ve seen that Cavani for a while. He was all over the place, which he definitely hasn’t been for the last few games. If he has that fire, he walks into every team in the Premier League, bar Spurs.

What a performance. Somehow gets himself loads of space without playing right on offside line

I always loved him as a player and was delighted when we signed him. It was much like Ibra for me. Just a pleasure to see him in a United shirt.

I am really hoping he stays, unless Kane fancies leaving a rudderless Spurs in the summer!

Cavani really found himself today. Not just in terms of the goal, which was classic him, but his all round performance was a huge improvement on recent showings. Worked hard, mucked in, used the ball well at feet and was always a danger when we had the ball in the final third. After recent matches, where he's played IMO like his mind is already in Argentina, this was a very pleasant surprise. Whatever happens in the summer I hope it carries on until the season finishes.

What a dive for the header, he instinctively knew Greenwood would cross and made a movement, i was watching and didn't expect Greenwood would cross it first time.

I think he was pissed off because of his disallowed goal and played in the 2nd half as a man possessed
