He's not our player anymore. Sold him to Lyon in the summer. It's Lyon that want to sell him.
I know he's currently at Lyon, what i was trying to say is when Liverpool want to sell a player, teams should be wary but Lyon weren't and now want to sell after only 6 months. Like when teams buy Real Madrid cast offs, no matter how talented they are, there was a reason Real wanted to sell.

I am honestly dreading the club moving for this crock.
It really depends on his wage demands. Someone idiotic will probably pay him 20m - 30m gross per year.
Barca wants to get rid, so the fee won’t be too bad. If there was the possibility of getting him on a highly(!) incentive laden deal then i would consider it. But he would probably not accept it.

He wants closer to €40-50m gross per year. He’s done feck all to even demand a 4th of that since his move to Barca. He’s going to be trouble wherever he goes.

The Japanese room incident really showed what a POS he is. Awful attitude, inconsistent, injury prone and wants nothing but money. Seems like our ideal signing tbh.

Yeah, i know he is asking for €40m plus probably the same as a signing fee, but i doubt he‘ll be getting that anywhere.
If it was €10m fix and another€10m in variables (availability, goals, assists, minutes played etc,) then i wouldn’t mind my club (Bayern) taking a chance. Sané, Gnabry, Musiala can all play more centrally and are not dependent on being wingers.

But it really doesn’t matter. Bayern will not go for him.

Mohamed Ihattaren had an extensive conversation with ten Hag and is on his way to Ajax.

Real sold Cambiasso, Walter Samuel and Snijder to Inter, the were excellent and very successful after leaving Real Madrid, Robben left RM and went to Bayern and was very successful there, for Liverpool, Suarez & Mascherano did very well at Barca, you can't say every player that Real and Liverpool sell is shit.

Gavi's contract extension with Barcelona is almost done. Currently negotiations are in advanced stages. He will sign a contract till 2026, registered in the first team, and would have a €1b release clause. The agreement could be finalized shortly.

Dembele wants big wages.. He'll get bigger wages if he leaves on a free. Barca want a fee and are saying he HAS to move in Jan.

It'll be funny if he just sees his contract out.. No one is going to pay Barca a fee and give him those wages.

I don't think we can say we know that, we've just been told that by sources that can't be trusted, and I strongly doubt it is true.

I was only thinking back the last 4 or 5 years with Real and Liverpool like Ramos (although they did want him to stay), Bale and James. And with Liverpool it's more squad players but got good money and the players were crap after leaving (looking at you Bournemouth). But if you want to go back further then yeah you've got a point but i wasn't thinking that far back.

Yes, got an attitude issue. Recently he went AWOL from Sampdoria.
He was.
Been dealing with depression since his father passing in 2019, according to the media.

Really hope he can bounce back in right environment, great talent.
Thanks both.
Sad about his father. Crazy young to be losing him.

  • Leipzig plan to keep him until the summer.
    • Release clause (becomes effective in the summer): €40M
  • A €55M offer may tempt RB Leipzig to let him go in January.
  • Both Newcastle and Manchester United are interested in the player.

Reims president Jean-Pierre Caillot on Newcastle's offer for Hugo Ekitike:
It is true that a lot have realised the quality of the player now, but not us. He was formed with us and it does not surprise us. Newcastle positioned themselves, we discussed it, they made us an offer that did not suit us. As we do not really want him to leave, we have fixed the price quite high. They did offer us €35M all in, but with a number of bonuses, some of them were quasi-impossible to reach. Like for example, winning the Champions’ League…We want €30M flat and €10M achievable bonuses.

I did try to look for the quote in the article, and I couldn't find it anywhere in the article. I did, however, find this:
The son of former Marseille and Atletico Madrid defender Jean-Francois Hernandez says he is very happy at Milan and talks over a new contract are reportedly progressing.

Barca constantly throwing their players under the bus before not being able to sell them will never stop being funny.
