ETH will never let Antony go. He may relegate him to the bench and play him less but he's going to be around and will get significant minutes still, just as Rashford and Garnacho will.

I don't think we will have enough games next year, likely with no European football or only second rate European competition to contend for, to really offer enough minutes to our 4th choice winger that is at the stage of his career where he can't really accept a deep bench role.
Well it’s highly likely that it won’t matter what ETH wants to do with Antony as ETH will be gone at the end of the season unless there’s a drastic change in performance and results from now to the end of the season, where ever ETH goes next he’s more than welcome to take Antony with him and play him as often as he wants.

He's a very good player, and his output this season has impressed me, but he's another inverted winger.

Hojlund is crying out for that kind of service where wingers take it to the byline and he bombs toward the near post, using his pace and power. We have to sign someone who will go on the outside.

I agree that Olise has more intelligence and better delivery than our current crop, but he should not be our absolute priority. We should only have one inverted winger in the team or we will not get the best out of Rasmus.

How fragile is he? Feels like he’s one of those players that is often injured, but that’s just my impression.

That’s probably one of the reasons we’d sign him  We love an injury prone player.

Agreed. That’s why I like it when Garnacho plays on the right because he can offer that although his final ball isn’t always the best.

Olise is one of the most creative forwards in the league.

Yeah it’s a concern if we’re looking at signing him.

On at half time, off after 11 minutes. 3-0 down, stupid risk to take from Hodgson.

I think it was even worse: 9 mins!! Stupid, stupid risk if he wasn’t cleared fit.
I know he is one of their best attackers, but a 9 minute risk might lose him for more games than simply resting him for this one.

I’d love Olise and an old fashioned line hugging winger for the other side.
Thats exactly what we need. We need at least one to be able to go past the FB and cross with his outside foot. At the moment neither of our right footed wingers are good crossers even when played on the right. Garnacho and Rashford are useless crosers from the right and Antony just useless any side.

An absolute disgrace, Roy did it to try and save his own skin, nothing more. If he’s out for weeks I will be absolutely livid.

Yeah senseless, especially as the game was almost over as a contest.

Yeah that’s appalling. The game was basically over. To try such a risky move which could have even worse long term (injury) consequences is so short sighted. Hope Olise’s injury isn’t too bad.

I like Olise and I think he’s a safe option as shown his quality in the PL. However I feel like Roony Bardghji has a higher ceiling and is probably also cheaper

If we for some reason decide Amad isn’t up to it then selling him and Antony and replacing them with both Olise and Bardghji I’d be down for that.

Ideally id like us to just give Amad some real minutes this half of the season as I personally think he has what it takes, and then we invest in Bardghji at probably 1/4 of the price of Olise to compete with Amad, Garnacho and Rashford on the wings. If we then need more experience and depth, then Rafa on a free from Benfica would be ideal too.

With Garnacho now flourishing on the right and Olise being a major target we may need to bring a left sided player in to push Rashford or could Sancho play there if he came back ? Looks like Antony is done.

Garnacho looks class on the right. So much so that I'd be comfortable going into next season with him as our first choice right winger.

That said, we obviously need at least two quality options in each position, and so Olise and Garnacho would tick that box, with Garnacho being able to play on the left too, like Nani used to. However, I would like to see Amad get a chance before getting a left footed winger, as he has similar qualities to Olise.

Lets say Amad was to impress, that would give us the options of Amad and Garnacho on the right, which would mean we could focus on goalscoring left winger to rotate with Rashford.

New Winger
Garnacho
Rashford
Amad
Youth player

Antony and Sancho to be sold.

If we sign Olise, it'll be him v Garnacho for the right wing. And knowing Ten Hag's weird preferences, he'll pick Olise for being left footed.

If we’re in for Olisse then he chooses us out of everyone els since he’s a fan.
