Phew made it back in time for half of Q2

Haas doing better than alpine?

Perez better not mess up my predictions, I've put him about 6th as I don't trust him

Oooh, This seems exciting!
Still think RB to be faster in the race. But 2 Ferraris vs 1 RB might help!

I think I'm going to regret considering Charles for pole but not selecting him in the end...

Congrats everyone on their pole position point

Lewis better get used to being outqualified by George. Think it's going to happen a lot this season. Good practice for being in Ferrari with Leclerc of course.

Hamilton has just lost that couple of tenths over 1 lap and in this kind of grid that's 9th instead of 3rd. Gives him way too much to do in the races where he is strong, needs to start setting the car up for one lap and just dealing with it.

Phew picked right for pole

The top are quite close just have to hope it translates to the race

McLaren have dropped off a bit. Even if we could have a great battle between Ferrari, Mercedes, Aston Martin and McLaren (and Perez) would help with interests as we can then just ignore Max disappearing off into the distance

Just hope Ferrari remain strong in sector 2 and 3. Catch Max in DRS

That RB looks so comfortable again. Even more comfortable in quali trim now than last year at this point. Feels like Max was holding back in the last two sectors.

Max on pole , well should could have predicted that and by 0.228
Not sure how much the tow from the McLaren helped him.

This is an outlier of a track, rear limited so I'm taking it all with a pinch of salt. Need another race or two, to get a true reflection. I think the Red bull under max can open up a bigger gap to the ferrari's.

Normal service resumes.
Ferrari are a lot more closer to RB this year though, last year they were 1.3 seconds off in Quali whereas this year it's 2 tenths - Hopefully that translates to a closer season v the rout we had last year, especially if that SF24 is reliable.

Norris was quick but missed out with a poor S1, that middle sector speed indicates its probably a decent car though. He does need to start finishing these laps off though, so many times he threatens to do something special and then makes a mistake.

it's crazy how amazing and yet average the red bull car is depending on if it's max or Perez driving it.

Yep, normal service resumes. RB Max sandbagging in quali, then 10 seconds ahead of the second one tomorrow.
