Deserved too. Where is this United every week.
The application and effort even they'd not won it at the death was amazing. McTominay running through walls today.
They don't play us every week. ;)

I'll take this as long as Utd give us the 3 points there later.

Thanks United. Football will be eternally grateful. You did the nation a huge favour.

Well that is pretty surprising... At least if we can get to the final, it won't be v Liverpool, again!

Somehow Liverpool always put on their worst performances against United. All the failed breaks at 1-2, the magical cross field pass by Nunez at 2-3 and Elliott going full blown Forrest at the end.

Over now, well done United. Super heart from a team not known for it. Deserved winners too, probably should have scored at least 5 over the course of the game.

Funny game, no idea why the commentators are implying the Pool deserved it. United should have been ahead nevermind level at half time. LIverpool better first 35 of 2nd half. United better in extra time and felt like in the end they wanted it more (not something I'd ever thought I'd be typing after a game involving Klopps Liverpool.) Wonderful game and credit to both teams in the end though, football the real winner.

I expect backlash in the league game sadly.

Well at least I don’t have to sit through penalties. Serves us right for not killing it off when we were on top in the second half.
Taking off Szobozzlai was the key. Had no control whatsoever in the midfield after that with Man. United throwing on endless forward players.

Liverpool need to be spending the next two weeks getting him and Salah's fitness levels up as you don't really want to be taking them off after 75 minutes in tight prem matches in the run in.

For the first time in months Liverpool looked very "young" out there in how they managed the game in final stages.

Klopp has some irrational fear of United. All the other top teams just go and batter them. Liverpool played them to two 90 minute draws. They´ll probably lose the title there, too.

All this for Man. City to coldly and ruthlessly get a 2-0 or 3-1 win in the SF or final.

Ten Hag just threw everything at it. What was it finishing, front 4 of Amad-Rashford-Garnacho-Antony with Mount, Fernandes and Erkisen all behind. I didn't even realise McTominay was still out there until he set up Rashford's goal so basically rolled the dice like SAF at his best and Liverpool couldn't cope with the constant overloads in the final third.

Incredible match.

Can’t have too many complaints about the result.

Feels like we messed up so many good situations but then again, I suppose the same can be said about United.

Liverpool should have buried the match in the second half. Much too wasteful.
Then United scored out of nowhere with their first shot on target in the second half.
After that there was only one winner.

The media narrative will be that Liv were unlucky and deserved it and that Utd were fortunate, but the xg was 4.25 to 2.18, they had a sustained period of pressure and wasted a few counters but we created a lot and some really good chances. It was a proper cup tie, a lot of fun

Their high line gets exposed a bit at Old Trafford I think. They can get away with it at Anfield with the crowd and players bottling it infront of the Kop but I remember the league game last year. Man. United were on their knees but Liverpool just parked their defence 40 yards up and Rashford spent the 90 minutes just running through it constantly.

Can't see Liverpool taking off Salah or other key players after 75 minutes in three weeks time so the league game will be a different story as this will sting them badly.

I mean, if you've only started watching football in the last 4 months, yeah sure.

Nah you deserved that. Created better chances overall and we were poor in the final third. 85 minutes onwards was nearly all United.

Great game for the neutrals.

Watch us get Man City in the semi final. It’s just written in the starts isn’t it.

Whatever happens we won’t get Coventry

Oh I agree - I'm just pretty sure the media narrative is gonna go another way (not that it ultimately matters)

Chelsea v Cov and a Manchester derby is probably best for everyone.
I mean we need at least one of Chelsea and Coventry in the final. No one wants a Manchester derby final .
