He just don't know how to close down games . The space they got in the last 4 minutes was criminal. Same thing against Brentford last week.

He just don't know when to shut the shop.
His whole setup is wide open. Pressing from the front leaving no midfield and a deep lying back line. Schoolboy stuff the commentators today were chuckling at just how bad both teams were technically

We’re alongside Sheff United and Luton for shots against it’s inexcusable

Another 4-3 this season.
Another proof he wants to play a system most of our players can't fit in.

He's obviously done, question is who do we bring? I'm all for Nagelsmann but don't see it happening.

De Zebri is a risk, but sounds more acceptable. Potter a big no.

Hope to God we don't end up with fecking Southgate.

I agree with most of what you say. I just don't know if most fans want him gone as Old Trafford is not constantly booing him and the twitter fans aren't calling for his head. Can't rely on the caf as a good representation of fan opinion imo.
The hope is Berrada and whoever else actually have enough about them to realise this can't continue, regardless. Massive red flag for the new regime if they see this as acceptable.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see another cricket score on the weekend with the way we're playing. That might well seal his fate if it isn't decided already.

Hes also shown quite clearly he's not very adaptable.

I've been vocal in backing him and put my reasoning on the line - injuries to key personnel. But when he can field two full backs and two center backs, whilst keeping his striker options on the pitch, I'm expecting performances.

He hasn't delivered it, and there's no excuse for it. We're still open, it's still chaos and no win is convincing. It's all really terrible, bit of a nightmare.
Wow, his biggest fan has turned on him. We're at the endgame now.

He survived getting mauled 7-0 at Anfield. He is here for the long run.
Not sure what the board sees in him however.

I’ve said it time and time again, you can’t play his brand of whatever the hell that’s supposed to be and give up the midfield. That’s where games are won and lost. You can’t cede control, I don’t understand why he doesn’t see this

He’s jumped to first favourite to be sacked. Even above Kompany.

I still find it hard to believe SJR can't just sack him tomorrow.

We were having a good season then and everything seemed positive that’s why he survived that result.
Now everything is absolutely shite, there’s no way he’s here next season.

I'm sorry you can't be arsed to see there's quite a few managers available as interim. Conte would be a good temp manager for instance.
We should've hired an interim in November when we were still in the CL and the season was still very salvageable.

Still, as you suggest, I would rather sack him tomorrow and roll the dice on an interim for the last few games instead of writing off the season early yet again.

Manager has to go. Too much scar tissue at this point.

The players aint buying him and have not for a long time. Yes, the players have to take a big share of the blame, but we all know you cant change a whole squad overnight.

He has given INEOS no good reason to keep him on and entrust him with 200mil to spend in the summer, even if the players wont be coming from the Dutch league this time.

It’s mostly his squad. We can’t keep blaming the players season after season. Why don’t we admit we’ve fecked up with our management choices since fergie, and had a rotten structure to compound it
It's not mostly his squad, that's unfair on EtH, albeit he's brought in poor players and hasn't done well to progress the team and the style so he needs to go. However, tonight for me summed up why most these players need to go. They are mentally fragile, can't play football when the pressure is on and can bottle games easy.

We have players who don't learn like Bruno giving balls away all the time, half arsed inconsistent players like Rashford and Dalot who defends like he doesn't have a brain at times (to name a few...I can keep going). Like sure these players can have the odd good game and the fans are easily conned and want to keep them but we've had them for so many years under many managers who failed.

whether EtH goes now, end of season, nothing will happen short term. Truth is, it's going to take another 3-4 years to get rid of these players under a new manager and we'll have to hope Ineos and the new structure get it right.

Can Ratcliffe just sack him tomorrow if he wanted? I know he won’t but will it be a case of him waiting for Ashworth and the other people to be in place.

Yes and it will be to keep him for another year and allow him more time to build his squad. The guy can talk the talk and he will pull himself out of trouble here.
I think you’ve misunderstood my post. I’m not saying it to be anti-ETH. I’m saying it doesn’t matter now what we think as the decision would have been made by now. 12 league losses by the start of April. Again, I’m not saying he deserves this or that in this particular post, I’m saying the decision has been made regardless of what us fans think or want.

But this is now a clear trait under Ten Hag. Throwing games away.

Much like the trait we've seen where we concede one goal against the run of play, completely shit the bed and quickly concede more.

It's not something we saw much of under previous managers. The players are spineless idiots but the same players didn't shit the bed this much under Ole. Which I can only assume is down to coaching routines and repetition about what to do when defending a lead.
You can spin it and ask why we kept conceding early goals under Ole, people were so pissed at the time and blaming him for the need to come back and play better in the second half.

I’m not really defending ten hag, he’s gone down the typical Dutch route of being completely inflexible with the tactics. It’s undeniable that just in the last two games, despite the manager holding us back (I guess), we’ve lost 5 points when we’ve been in a prime position to win. I’m not sure how you can coach that situation on the training ground, I mean you most definitely can’t replicate that level of mental fatigue to stop Dalot making a foul in the box.

Don't think I was his "biggest" fan. I was a lot more patient than some.
You may call it patience, others would call it delusional. As has been multiple repeated multiple times in the last 12 months, these performances/results are not a one off.

Hate to say it but that 7-0 loss to Liverpool killed this team and any chance EtH had in being a success. I've supported him for as long as I could but I'm at the stage where I just don't care who is in charge anymore. We need a fresh start... again.

Gutless, clueless and a mess. It's impressive how awful we look under him now. That performance summed it all up. Please put us out of our misery, and take most of this squad away.

it seems a lifetime ago now. But prior to that 7-0 it really felt like things were turning around. And the 7 goals came from like 8 shots. Had just beat Barca and won a trophy. It just felt like a freak result

Maybe Varane's concussion worries were actually for ETH?

The plan all along is to get us to the point where Southgate sounds like a good appointment. Just wait until Sunday evening…

I’d take Anne widdecombe over EtH right now.

I’d take a fecking washing machine over him.
I've heard similar just before Moyes, Jose, Van Gaal, & Ole, were all sacked awell, and here we are again.

You can't just take anyone, or we'll be back here again in 2-3 years time.

Id rather Ole came back till end of season. At least we may have an fa cup win. His record against city was top.
Not sure that would be a good idea, though we really were never as bad with Ole as we have been for the entirety of this season. And if we're honest, we weren't great last year, not performance wise.

I don't give a shite that Chelsea were wide open though? Chelsea are awful, a fully midtable side for 2 years now I'm not going to base my appraisal of my own team through them.

Again the final 5 minutes was poor from Dalot and then a culmination of the entire game with trying to withstand more pressure. And I don't expect us to suddenly become adept at playing a short possession game when we've literally NEVER DONE IT in the entirety of Ten Hag's time here. It's not like this was the first time we've failed to kill a game off.
On the pitch, game management is mostly on the players. The problem is game management and intelligence is non existent in this group of players. Just suck the life out of it and wind the clock down.

And we still ended up with zero points after being up 3-2 in the 97th minute....
Due to a penalty that should never have been given and a deflected shot, it happens, it doesn't mean we capitulated.
