We aren't going to spend £200m+ on midfielders.
Almost certainly correct, but you never know.
There's talk of Barca considering a swap for Bruno and De Jong. As I say, very much not likely to happen, but if it did then that's one in for a cost of nothing.
Koopmeiners and Neves would prob cost about 140M for the pair. 2 in can mean 2 or 3 out.
McTominay can go, with his goals this season I reckon he's added a few mill onto his value so prob around 35M for him. And if the Casemiro to Saudi talk is true then there's another 35M or so. Donny will also be gone, best you could hope for that really is someone takes him on a free.
But still that's only a net spend of 70M for 3 transformative midfielders. Back up would be Ericksen, Mount, Hannibal, maybe Amad gets a chance through the middle and maybe Gore drafted in to get one or two opportunities ala Kambwala.

Really comes down to a desire to modernise how we operate. Having a head coach who’s a talented tactician as opposed to a more conventional manager. Recruitment will then source players who are capable of playing in a chosen system and squad depth will allow for rotation. The long road to recovery isn’t going to be simple, but with serious investment in our youth training and the overhaul of Carington, which Ineos are already committed to, it’ll happen.

I don't understand the need to go for a player that clearly stated that he wants to be in Barcelona. I know the chances of him coming to United this summer are almost non-existent, but why even speculate it? it's just so stupid thing to put out there.

This is practically stalking De Jong at this point.

Mainoo and De Jong in midfield doesn't strike me as the most combative or physical combination (or De Jong with anyone in our team for that matter). Good technical ability though.

Hey Benji Bro , this club is amazing you will walk straight into the team we can demand whatever we want because this team is a disgrace and finally they have this special waterfall show after every game.

Yeah I've seen him being linked to them also.

He'd a square peg in a round hole for us as he's still developing his game like Hojlund.
He’s already vastly superior to Rasmus, watch him in Bundeliga, he’s a threat in every game, touch is vastly superior to Rasmus and his movement alone is far better, if he joins united Rasmus will be on the bench.

I watch the Buli. He isnt as clinical as Rasmus, but has a better first touch. Would struggle in our current system.

I would love Sekso to be here as I think he can be a great striker, but we have so many other needs that I am not sure this would be wise.

Having good young strikers with potential doesn't mean anything if the team behind them can't create, defend, pass to teammates, press, win headers, defend corners, save simple shots on target, etc etc etc

We need goals, goals should be our priority in signings this summer.

Surely the agent here using our name to get a better deal for his client. Fair play to him and I hope it works out!

And if I'm wrong, then I hope we sign him and I hope he's brilliant and can step in right away next season.

Aren't Arsenal linked with him? Much more likely he's there to discuss a transfer to them tbh.
I wouldnt read too much in that picture, the agent was also present at our FA Cup win vs 'pool, then at our 4:3 loss at Stamford Bridge and he was also at the Arsenal:Chelsea game, so most likely scenario is that he is putting out feelers between interested parties.. either that or just using us to have free VIP match experiences

Sell both. Please. We'll never have another good opportunity to sell Bruno for a good fee again.
Shop the pair of them. We could get close to €150m for the pair, and two of our top few earners off the books which would give us a lot of room to rebuild. If we can sell the pair we would be looking to bank over £200m this summer and should be looking to spend at least 350m, with probably a net wage reduction too.

Goals win games and wins give teams belief. A lot of our problems whilst mainly tactical, fitness and structural have something to do with low morale too. I am sure signing a striker won't be the be and end all of our summer business.

why is it more likely an agent comes to Old Trafford to discuss a transfer to Arsenal?
The agent was also at The Emirates when Arsenal played Chelsea and at Stamford Bridge when United played there, he was also at Old Trafford for our FA Cup tie with Liverpool..he's just putting him in the shop window

i get that. but i highly doubt he'd come to Old Trafford for the purpose of discussing a transfer to another team, he'd surely just go to their offices/own stadium. No doubt he's shopping him about.
