2017 Confederations Cup

squeaky bum time for Germany

Germany deserves the win. Best team all tournament imho

So, Germany goes there with the 2nd team and win the whole thing. Does that make them big favorites for Russia 2018 or what?

Too many great teams didn't play at the Confed Cup to make a lot of predictions and rankings I think, but the youngsters did a great job.

In the end, Germany were a bit lucky to get their goal from a Chile defender's mistake. The best team lost.

It's just insane. On paper in attack they're not that amazing. But somehow, they've just got that damned German efficiency in everything they do and they just win no matter what.

It will be good to see next WC. Germany littered with talents all across the place but a team that is more about the system than anything against France where they have even better talents (more notably in attack) but seemingly more reliant on individuals.

I'm envious of how organised the Germans are with their football structure. The under 21s doing well, and now their 'B' team; with the 'A' team getting a rest whilst the young ones get tournament experience and to top it off - win the whole thing against some experienced teams. Great stuff.

Chile haven't scored in a final since the 70's? is that true?
That probably sounds worse than it actually is depending on how many finals they've actually been in. But, this is the third final in a row -- Copa America x 2, this -- that they haven't scored in.
