I actually wished it was him who got the memorable winning goal. His performance deserved it and that kind of 120th min goal vs Liverpool in a comeback win in a classic cup game would have been iconic. He was immense.

Only trained twice in the week due to a hamstring injury too and still ran his arse off for 120 mins.

Basically played a key part in 3 of the 4 goals but only comes away with 1 assist (shot before mctominays tap in, the run and attempt that fell to Antony for his goal (not sure why that isn't an assist actually), and then the Amad assist.

There is very little to criticise, he is 19 years of age and already shouldering the responsibility of this great club when it should be Rashford etc... He is exceptional and along with Mainoo and Hojlund is the future of this club, he needs all the support to make it happen.

Arguably my favourite player right now because even on bad days his effort levels never drop.

Yup, did quite a few runs back to help out in defence. I generally love his tenacity, he's difficult to get rid off for the opposition as he doesn't just block off passing angles but he gives you little time on the ball.

By all means, he's young and he'll continue to have ups and downs, but you can't underestimate the importance of having that basic performance where your workrate is consistent. Considering he's been carrying an injury, it makes his overall performance proper fecking impressive

I am so impressed with his development this season. He has a fantasy mentality. He is improving technically too - he has gotten better in dealing with the instant pressure as soon as gets the ball but it’s his mentality which is really stand out - he’s always running, always moving and always fighting. Last season / this summer I said that our wingers (Antony aside) were all poor off the ball and that included Garnacho but he’s come a long long way since then in this regard.

He never shirks from responsibility too on the ball. He always asks for the ball and tries to make things happen. Some players on bad days will avoid the ball - Sancho used to do that for example.

He was incredible yesterday. How he kept that energy level up for the entire game is beyond me.

He runs his nuts off every game and has a real will to win. Tracks back as well. Sure, he makes mistakes, but he's young, he keeps his head up and he goes again. Never shies away from wanting the ball, always looks to be progressive, and gets the crowd on their feet. If we manage him properly, and truly develop as a club/team, then he could stick around for a few years and become a superstar.

I think we forget how old he is because of the number of minutes he has had to play this season. We are expecting him to play as a seasoned winger.

He has shown very good glimpses this season, this season will do him good for his development.

Surely he was yesterday’s MOTM? Played the entire game, was a threat throughout and involved in pretty much all our good football. As much as I laud the entire team he has to be top of the pile in this tie.

It’s a shame he’s going to Real Madrid this summer because I think he’s going to be a brilliant player who’ll win the Champions League one day

It’s a lazy comparison but he really does remind me of a young Ronaldo. He just never stops going. Definitely has the cockiness and belief that he will just keep on asking for the ball and running even if things aren’t going his way.

He's not going to real Madrid they have Mcrappe, Vinicious and Rodrygo.

There is simply no way we sell him anyway.

I'm really happy with the way Garnacho has been developing since the turn of the year. His pace has made him a really dangerous outlet on the counter for us but his work off the ball has been equally impressive for me. The desire to make those runs off the ball but also get back and defend is the sort of thing that's had me looking on enviously at Salah and Mane while our players only ever seemed to be capable of one or the other.

The fact that Garnacho managed to keep running with the ferocity he did yesterday for 120 minutes after apparently having a hamstring problem midweek makes it even more impressive. He's a gem.

He has £100m buyout in his contract, first and only united player to have one but I agree he’s not going to play back up to those three, plus he has 2-3 years to develop before he would be advise to go !

He's done so well and his performance yesterday was heroic. Only slight thing I worry about holding him back could be maybe his pace isn't quite Rashford levels. He's still very quick and that Fulham goal last season showed he can accelerate fast, just not at that top level of fast which it seems pretty much all the best ones are now.

Huh?? Since when did we start doing that? If we do that shit, we might as well have signed Haaland when he went to Dortmund. Interested to know your source for this.

The "sources" that come up for that are dogshit like CaughtOffside and SportBible, citing Defensa Central which is just a twitter aggregator-tier Real Madrid fansite.

In other words, it's bollocks.

Disagree.

His problem his is control of the ball at pace. He needs to work on that. He's lightning fast without the ball, just dribbling at pace needs to be refined, which in turn will make him "quicker" with the ball.

Garnacho is the first player we’ve had in about ten years who just never gives in, 125 minutes yesterday and he was still going at the end. Kid is a fecking warrior and I fecking love him.

Look it up, United and in particular ETH was quoted in it when he gave his speech to his family after signing him up to a new contract

Ok there were multiple sources when he was about to sign yet nothing was confirmed either way however here’s the sources ;

https://www.footballtransfers.com/e...real-madrid-alejandro-garnacho-man-utd-clause

https://www.sportbible.com/football...ct-offer-groundbreaking-terms-933425-20230121

https://www.teamtalk.com/manchester...-offer-groundbreaking-ploy-sparks-uncertainty

It’s important to note that this was strongly rumoured, United tried to get him to sign an 8 year contract but his family was having none of it, a €100m buy out has been rumoured very strongly ever since, he’s a Madrid Fan, he’s born in Spain to Argentinian Mother and a Spanish Father.

Listen it’s not nonsense and if it was inserted as strongly rumoured than that’s another reason for why Murtough should be sacked, bear in mind if this is true the club are hardly going to advertise the fact ?

So no actual sources got it , how gullible and naive are you to believe this but you actually made up stuff as well to augment this garbage so there is that .

Interestingly you went from United and Eth quoting it their speech to his family to club would hardly advertise it , Stop making stuff up and start discerning between the sources who could be worth the listen and garbage ones which should be skipped without second thought at all the times links you have provided clearly falls into latter category .

So you guys think Madrid who have Vini/Rodrygo/Mbappe are going to splash 100m+ on a 19 year old Garnacho to sit on the bench...

I'm sorry but none of those are credible sources. Unless the report is from Athletic or from BBC, I'd advice you to not put any trust in the sources. All the 3 you have listed are garbage tier sources and are mostly gossip shit.

He reminds me of 06/07 Ronaldo.
He's no where near that level. Still, he's the brightest prospect we've had since Ronnie. If he gets anywhere near to Ronaldo 06/07 over the next couple of years then he's a future ballon d'or contender.

He's going to be a top player regardless. For me he's the epitome of United player. A fast, skillful risk taker who the opposition dread.
