Because we will only have three strikers and one of them is 17? Also if we are still paying the cnuts wages then whats the point. Its madness to let him go now.
We're not, though? Only a portion of them.

Having here seems to cause more problems than it's worth.

Agreed. If Sanchez is so desperate to leave, then he should take a paycut and get paid whatever Inter can afford.

We should not be subsidising his wages.

I’m happy for him to go, and if we end up short, then so be it - that’s a risk we take, but the plus side is getting rid of his wages.

A loan, and subsidising his wages just kicks the can down the road. Next season we have the same issue, and a player who is no doubt even more difficult to get rid of.
So the club should fully pay his wages and not utilse him, over subsidising his wages and allowing him to play elsewhere. Plus also putting him up for a potential transfer to Inter into the bargain. It'd be insane to keep him and allow him to sit around for a few years on his full contract, better for both parties if he goes out on loan and hopefully is successful and then is sold. I seriously don't get your logic, no one is going to match his wages with his form since he joined United. Club made a mistake and are now trying to recify it the best way they can.

Don't you just love child like logic "it happened like this last time so this is how its ALWAYS gonna be" Have a fecking word with yourself fs.
Or use your eyes to see that a player has clearly declined, lost a few yards of pace and will only decline further, whilst depriving minutes to players who are clearly worthy of the playing time.

Why? He's been shite. What can he contribute that would make it 'madness' to get rid of him?
Because quite clearly he is a good player who for whatever reason it hasnt worked out as well as we all thought it would at United.

But more importantly as @Ramshock points out we would be left very short up front.

Ive no great love for Sanchez at all and can take him or leave him mostly, but with the window shut and our options up front fairly limited is is plainly nuts to let him go now.

If we were to let him go and then Martial or Rashford pick up a long term injury people would be on here moaning we let him go. Cant win.

I don't think Ole would let him go if he was going to use him at all so I'm happy to trust his judgement on this. His attitude here and wages have been a nightmare for the club and the overall transfer has been a shambles from start to finish, the sooner he's gone the better.

Even if Martial and Rashford are out injured Sanchez will still not be playing. Greenwood and Lingard will be played up front, while Dalot comes in as the RW or something. Heck even McTominay would be played up front over Sanchez.

So Inter paid a shitload of money for overweight Lukaku and want to loan 'not fully fit' Sanchez from us.

Oh the mighty Conte, how could We ever repay you?

Think Ole wanted him to stay actually, but either the player or Woodward/Glazers made the transfer happen

Won't lose any sleep if he goes but by christ we are taking a risk, a few injuries and the travelling we will potentially have in the Europa, have to pray that Rash/Martial stay fit for the majority of the season.

We could potentially have 70+ games this season and if I have not forgotten anyone we have:

Rashford
Martial
Greenwood
James
Lingard
Mata
Gomes
Chong
Pereira
Pogba

to cover CF, LW, RW and No. 10 if we stick with the current system, but two of them are midfielders where we are short as well.

Big risk but feck it, love the fact that Ole is putting faith in a few of the kids.

This sounds like a terrible deal for us.
Loan him to Inter, pay half his wages and no obligation to buy, which most likely means Inter will send him right back to us next summer.
Awful deal.

Going into a new season with Rashford,Martial and Greenwood as our only strikers seems a big risk.

It is legitimately crazy and I can't believe people are applauding this move - only and solely done to save money.

If Martial and Rashford are both out injured (not very unlikely considering their playstyle and the amount of tackles they receive and 70+ games) what will the front line be?

Lingard-Greenwood-James? I'm all for giving youth a chance but that is literally the worst attack in the premier league as it stands.

If he was going to be sold, we should have bought an able replacement. Greenwood might become insane and score 15 goals, but we can not gamble on this.

With Chelsea out of the top 4 race (in all likelihood) we should be gunning for top 4, not gambling on making it with an obviously sub par attack.

We should include a recall clause just incase the shit hits the fan with regards to injuries to attacking players.

Thought it was obligation to buy just seen it is an option to buy, yeah agree may as well just keep him around in case of an injury crisis

Why, we just sign a new attacking player in january if that would be the case.

If true, that would be marvelous.

Finding an escape to our main deadwood is really exceptional.

Even if we pay 75% of his wages, not having him around the first team will only appease the dressing room vs all the wages complaints.

The feck you know, maybe us paying his wages and him being there is the problem for the rest of the squad.

Guess you wouldnt get rid of him until he retires, you would be a perfect poster guy for "Its a new start (for the 4th time) and everyone will get their chance to prove them self this preseason". Guff lord strikes again.

Thats all well and good, except that between now and january, there are 25-30 games and should Rashford or Martial get injured, we are going to be very toothless. Greenwood may well be the real deal, but we simply dont know yet.

A simple clause allowing us to recall him, in the event of an emergency, makes more sense than not having it.

if ANY team lose their top 2 strikers they would struggle a bit. there's no reason to think both Martial and Rashford, at their ages, will both get injured at the same time. and if so, then well Greenwood will get a great chance to impress.

Give him Darmian and Rojo too while we're at it.
That's a good idea actually. The move could be beneficial for both Inter and the players. Darmian is proven for Serie A and Italy is is home while Rojo can join the Italian mafia and make Italy his home.

I seriously doubt anyone wants to keep Sanchez. However no normal thinking fan wants us to be left short during the season, risk our chances of qualification for the Champions League and fall even further behind clubs in regards to pulling power next summer.

If we are going to be paying the waste of spaces wages, or most of them, then if it turns out we are short of strikers, then we should be able to call upon him in the event of an injury crisis.

This is very likely with our style of play/luck.

Should've gotten rid of him earlier, we've already let donkey out and now him. It's not quality that we lose but numbers that we cannot make up for anymore. All it takes is 1-2 injuries and in December when you play every 3 days we'll be fecked. Yet another idiotic move.
