Went to apply online for the final, says I'm not eligible.
Anyone else found that?

Only a 6/10 merchant, but it did say "all" season ticket holders could apply (for whatever meagre chance), but still!

I'm guessing 6/10ers will have zero chance in this ballot so maybe they've not allowed applications? Am I correct in thinking if you opted-out of any home cup games, you are not supposed to be allowed to apply for any away games?

Not sure mate I imagine so if the person is right, hit rate on info is about 80/20 correct.
Quality. If we're playing in white and Palace in blue-and-red it'll be like the 1990 classic all over again. Hopefully they can wheel out Des Lynam for some proper reminiscing.

One of the first finals i can remember actually watching as a young child, the new wembley and the money involved just took away the magic of it all. I'm still excited to go down 21st May but the cost to even get in let alone eat and drink inside is ridiculous. I do not agree with the exec renewals thing I spoke about yesterday either.

Kick off 5:30pm I am told.

I've heard that the club were considering using ST renewal as a bargaining chip for all fans applying for final tickets but backed down... it's all a bit snide.

Yes it was suggested but never made it past discussion and good thing it didn't either. This exec thing has managed to annoy execs and standards alike.

Thomas cook doing packages for people outside of the UK for £849 also which doesn't look great but it is legal.

I'm pretty sure they did something with the Execs when in we played Barca in 2011 Champions League final, pissed a few people off at the time.

Luckily a legendary in the making newbie sounds quite in the know, and got me to double check my account.

Seems somehow, despite all being perfect up to the semi, my details have become linked to an earlier membership number, 3+ years ago, before I was a season ticket holder. So no wonder it rejected a ballot request!

Did the auto ballot on the phone line using my actual numbers, it allowed so i've chucked my hat into the ring for 2 tickets. Might be a tiny chance, but would be annoyed if I hadn't even tried, living 20miles away!

Do they email/text to confirm when you apply over an automated phoneline, as you'd get if you went through the web?

I see, fair enough.

Pretty sure they don't email/text to confirm but it's been a while since I done it over the phone.

I can only imagine they've loosened the rules for applications so they don't get embarrassed having to reopen them later if they don't all go?
Seems the case in the semi final, only open for a day, yet suddenly open for longer, and seemingly no one anyone knew not getting one who applied.

if the likes of me get one for the final, demand has really declined!

Has anyone done it via the automated phone system? Presumably you just verify yourself (ticket/member num) some ID (DOB etc..) & then what? Pick which price band of ticket you'll take? And as Sandikan asked, do you get a verification that you've done it?

Check your online account, try to buy tickets for the final when your logged in and it will display that youve already applied and show you how many and the price band.

Did it on the automated line yesterday, just a case of keying in your member number, confirming that it is your surname that is played, and then it gives the option to add up to 5 other membership numbers. And again, when finished, it will read the surname(s) out.

Reads 4 price band options out, and you select by number your first and second choices.
Wonderfully smooth to be honest, would just need an email/text confirmation to make it perfect in my eyes.

Rang the club today, the call back service is quite good too. Confirmed the above had gone through, and got them to amend the wrong membership number on my account. Unfortunately for the club apparently a lot of these gremlins snuck in, at their busiest time. Basically mismatching your previous and current numbers. (my pre and current season ticket numbers...clearly one is a nono application wise, and one was allowed)

Also confirmed if you wanna move your season tickets, if the seat you want is empty, you can do now, otherwise, wait until the day after renewals finish. I suppose that makes obvious sense!

Thanks.

I'll get onto this today. I Was thinking of applying with a friend, so I can just do that on my card & add theirs in as well.

Presumably they'll let me know success of failure by email? In which case I'll need to make sure my email address is up to date on their system.

As completely awkward as you'd expect from the FA. Bad news for anyone who doesn't live within 30mins or so!
Yes amazing when you consider they have known the date of the fixture for some time. Another rush back up north afterwards it's ridiculous.

if you're keen, you can keep logging into your account on the United site. As if you are successful, the tickets will show in there. You'll also get an email to confirm success in due course. I presume also a failure one too...

Anyone have a pair for tomorrow?
Like golddust at the moment it seems. I had already given my season ticket seat away thinking I couldn't make it but then realised I could and managed to pick up a pair of returns from the TO on Friday with memberships. It's worth checking with them right up until the game.

Apparently Leicester supporters have been paying big money for tickets and some might even be in the home end. They ought to be undercover or they'll deserve a smack!

Only supporters who have ten credits will have a chance of being successful in the ballot.

From ticketing and membership. Just called them.

Nothing in my account yet.

This is why they should have given an extra credit to those who went to the semi-final.

I'll be so annoyed if I miss out...

Under soil heating.
The exec section was mostly Leicester fans yesterday and some of them (mainly middle aged women) were hanging over the hoardings taunting the United fans below. Didn't see them return for the second half as they looked to be shitting it when some rightfully told them to sit down and shit up.

Anyway, if only 10/10 can get Cup final tickets I'll be devastated. The drab 0-0 penalty defeat to Boro will cost me :(

Or even those who applied but were unsuccessful.

To be honest, it's just dire that you can go to a semi final and have no guarantee of getting a final ticket too.

Fully agree with that. Wonder how many decided against the semi but want the glory of the final?

I saw her too. That older guy who confronted her was a hero :) Shame they only got spoken to and not kicked out. In that area there were blatantly guys with Leicester shirts on, the club should've hooked them out.

I heard only 19000 of our tickets are going to season ticket holders? Shocking if true. Doesn't make me feel confident with a solo 10/10 application.

We are in for four 10/10s. Wish we'd gone for two doubles now I'm hearing more about the numbers.

22% chance for 10/10 apparently. Everyone else has 0%.
It must be higher than 22% as only 22,000 ST holders have 10/10 credits. It'd be more like 85% if the 19,000 is correct.

Surely it's more than that. If there are 19000 tickets going to season ticket holders and only 10/10 have a chance then at worst it's going to be 50/50 if you say there's around 40,000 with 10/10? I doubt there's even that many going off the Midtjylland game.

Ah that sounds better regarding 22,000 having 10/10. I'm sure some of those 22k will either not be applying for the final or applying with people who have lower than 10/10 so the 85% should in fact be higher.

I'm not sure, but I think it may be 22,000 applicants with 10/10... then they have about 8,000 execs and they'll keep a bunch of tickets for staff, comps etc.

Just keeping my fingers crossed now.

Shocking that they didn't get chucked out immediately, if that had been 2 blokes goading the home fans they'd have been escorted out.
