Dont think he wants to come there with Ronaldo being there. Personal belief. If he isn’t ready to work with big egos he will never get the chance to work in the best clubs. And who told you he wouldn’t want to work with him?
Ronaldo worked with Ferguson, Mourinho, Pellegrini, Zidane, Allegri. Doesn’t seem he is a bad professional, beside that you’re speculating on something you don’t know.Dont think he wants to come there with Ronaldo being there. Personal belief.
Big egos/individuals are not always easy to combine with the unity approach that Poch seems value.
Mourinho was finished as a top manager, Allegri is not.Allegri isnt somebody we should go after. At all. Good manager but like Mourinho, not suited to United.
I did not say he was a bad professional, which he clearly is not. One can be a professional while also play as an individual.Ronaldo worked with Ferguson, Mourinho, Pellegrini, Zidane, Allegri. Doesn’t seem he is a bad professional, beside that you’re speculating on something you don’t know.
Well because you’re presuming he wouldn’t want to work with him based on the fact he never mentioned that. Not that some issues mentioned don’t make sense, but it’s something to say Ronaldo couldn’t play 1 year for Pochettino. At least on Serie A, if we were talking about England now I would agree with you.I did not say he was a bad professional, which he clearly is not. Poch seems to prefer team players, contributing in attack and defense. Some of the Juventus players are ideal for this(Mandzukic etc), while others are not. Most of the spurs squad are teamplayers.
Where did i give the impression that i was stating facts?
Has a contract till 2022.Is Zidane guaranteed at Madrid now? If love to see him at his old club
It's not a question of his not being "ready". It's that he actively prefers players who don't have big egos and instead have more of a team ethos ... players like Harry Kane for example. If he isn’t ready to work with big egos he will never get the chance to work in the best clubs. And who told you he wouldn’t want to work with him?
Yeah, while he wouldn't have the same resources, he'd still surely get to spend a lot and they're already quality. That's his bag.Could see Pep going and dominating a fourth league tbh.
Sorry but with all the respect, top players on top teams have egos. It’s utter nonsense to think only the players who aren’t likeable don’t have team spirit? Do you think players of that level who won as much as they won don’t know what is to work in a team? And the day Harry Kane will teach anything about winning to Ronaldo will be the same as you being the most likeable poster on this forum. It's not a question of his not being "ready". Having a big ego does not make you a better player and nor is it great for team spirit.
I haven't said that no player with a big ego can have team spirit, but the chances are that, generally speaking, players with big egos will have less time for a team ethos.Sorry but with all the respect, top players on top teams have egos. Give me a break.
Mourinho is a different case though. He did his very best to ensure he'd become persona non grata at any club that has any significant rivalry with inter. If juventus were to be so much as linked with Mou, torches and pitchforks would come outAllegri managed AC Milan and Juventus, Pirlo did the same in a playing context. Ibrahmovic played for Juventus and both Milan clubs. Leonardo managed both Milan clubs within the space of 12 months. Ancelotti manged Milan and Juventus while i think playing for both back in the day. So It's not uncommon to see people play for and or manage multiple big clubs in Italy. That said i think Juventus fans welcoming Mourinho is hard to imagine.
Why does this matter at all though? Aren't we talking about Pochettino going to Juve who are a team with a great team spirit and full of fantastic professionals?I haven't said that no player with a big ego can have team spirit, but the chances are that, generally speaking, players with big egos will have less time for a team ethos.
Kane is arguably the best forward in the world, which shows having a big ego is not a necessary quality to being or becoming a top player.
And as much as you want to drag Ronaldo into the discussion - and it's easy to win things when you play for clubs that can throw money around like confetti - my main point is that Pochettino prefers players who don't have big egos and actively moves to get rid of players who do.
This notion that big egos translates to top quality is the same sort of football snobbery that decries signings from lower leagues and cleaves to players who are paid vast wages and/or sign for huge transfer fees. It's just another type of glory-hunting.
Allegri would be a terrible appointment by the club. He’s a defensive manager and within a matter of games half the CAF would be complaining how defensive he plays. If our board followed initial plan, now we would be without coach with Allegri free and maybe Poch interested for a new job.
Simone Inzaghi the Latino manager could be an optionNo up-and-coming young Italian managers out there?
That would be a good appointment. It would be interesting to see what he could do with financial backing. Maybe they signed Ramsey for him.Arsene Wenger is planning a return to management. Juve might give him a look in?
Are you saying that Manchester United are in position to demand pretty football? You want a cherry on top when there's no cake, we're in danger of getting overtaken by the likes of Wolves or Everton. What we need:Allegri would be a terrible appointment by the club. He’s a defensive manager and within a matter of games half the CAF would be complaining how defensive he plays.
No chance in him, Pep or Pochettino going this summer I reckon. Klopp wants to see out his contract at Liverpool and move into the Bayern job, Pochettino has his eye on the Madrid job and Pep will end up at PSG or Juventus next time round. They've all spent 3 years building teams to get them where they are today, to leave again and start all over again now wouldn't make any sense. Is there any real possibility of Klopp going to Juve or is it just wishful thinking?
Doubt it, he seems loyal to Dortmund. After Liverpool, he will probably go to a club like Roma or Milan or even Lyon to carry on his underdog rags-to-riches act there. Unless he decides to take a top club and goes to Spain to manage either of the big 2.No chance in him, Pep or Pochettino going this summer I reckon. Same for KloppWhy would Poch want to manage in Serie A? I see Poch as someone who fancies challenges, and he would find it dull there i reckon
I would suggest most of the signings Juventus have made have nothing to do with Allegri. They actually have a system in place to buy players. Are you saying that Manchester United are in position to demand pretty football? You want a cherry on top when there's no cake, we're in danger of getting overtaken by the likes of Wolves or Everton. What we need:
1. Results, results, results. Grinding points to top 4, another year without CL would be disastrous. Allegri is proven as sharp tactician who achieves results, even if the football isn't pleasing to the eye.
2. Someone who convinces our best player to stay and builds the team around him. No need to elaborate I believe, Allegri and PP had great chemistry at Juve.
3. Someone who chooses the right players to replace the sorry lot we have. Just check Allegri's transfer history, except Higuain (who was most likely forced by Juve board) it's all great bargains.
Aye, no challenges to be found outside of England. Why would Poch want to manage in Serie A? I see Poch as someone who fancies challenges, and he would find it dull there i reckon
Juve are chasing European Glory. They've made two finals in recent years, and failed miserably after buying Mr Champions league himself. That is the challenge. Why would Poch want to manage in Serie A? I see Poch as someone who fancies challenges, and he would find it dull there i reckon
Agent to Juve: try Mourinho, he is the best and availableMourinho. I'm sure his agent is pushing hard for him to get a big job again. Would be pretty interesting if they signed him and Sanchez given how that worked out here.
Interesting observation. That would be a good appointment. It would be interesting to see what he could do with financial backing. Maybe they signed Ramsey for him.
