So I wonder why people always fall for Herrera's version then? There was talk of captaincy when he was with us.
Probably because they fall for everyone else's version too

People believe the version that agrees with their view on things. It's human nature.Probably because they fall for everyone else's version too
Not in italian football and Leonardo's formation as a director comes from thereThe problem here is that he is talking about the atmosphere around the training center, so it's a bit weird to talk about business or even Woodward. That atmosphere is the responsibility of the training staff, not the board.

I think its fantastic, like Herrera even more for it. His side of the story was he felt disrespected by the club, here he has no problem throwing shade on Woodward and his merry menNot good to hear players coming out with this stuff.
This definitely isn't the case. Read Pogba's threads if you're unsure.
It's like some of our fans can't withstand the idea some players will prefer playing for other clubs than us thanks to our current state. First Lukaku and now this. People simply need to adapt to the fact we're not the ultimate target for any player anymore.
It's quite easy for them though. They win everything in France with their eyes closed and when they fail in Europe its 'oh well we will win it next year'. They don't have the same pressure we do, the best players don't have to give 100%.
Pogba as well. DDG was off to Madrid. Mainly the ones who want to stay here are the ones everybody wants rid of.It's like some of our fans can't withstand the idea some players will prefer playing for other clubs than us thanks to our current state. Decent enough player on football pitch but absolutely brilliant off pitch certainly knows how to play his team's fanbase for sure.
I'm not unsure. I see people who agree with every player's story, and some who dont

What were Matuidi's comments? I've not seen them so would be interesting to read them.
They brought Leonardo back didn't they, maybe he is instilling that hard work ethic back into the club.I included Leonardo in a previous post, he is the one setting the tone not El Khelaifi and Blanc. At United it has always been the manager's role, it was SAF first mention to fix and redefine the club's culture.
It's in french but basically at Juventus you work harder, the staff is on your back, they have more people, everyone reminds you that the club has a rich history, your days are longer, etc.
This is true, but that's a separate issue from Herrera being untrustworthy in the press.
Responding to it, Herrera explained: “I was very happy at that incredible club. I am very grateful to the supporters. Frankly, I was immensely happy in Manchester, but at the club, there were times when I felt that football was not considered the most important thing.”

Maybe that is what Ander is alluding to then. We really need someone like him at United. They did and it's a good thing, they were allegedly going on the wrong path with players and staff doing whatever they wanted, however they wanted.
Considering he's going to win trophies, play for a top football team and some of the worlds best players. He's doing much better over there footballing wise than waiting here for a rebuild that will never happen under the current structure.

They're all there for the money, none of them dreamed of playing in the "illustrious" Ligue 1. They're shit in the CL as well, never made it past the quarters as I just said. You think if Qatari's didn't own it any star would remotely consider them without the obscene wages on offer?
We are the only 'money' destination. Pay big wages with zero expectations.
Come to Man United where the only expectation is to lower the expectation year on year. Like it or not we are the ultimate club to come to to make a lot of money with no pressure. Mangala and Jones, one was let go and the other got a 4 year contract despite never playing. Guess the club?
Manchester United are the single most mercenary club in the Premier League, We pay a load if shit players millions with no consequence of their failures. That is the definition of mercenary.
To be fair, I don't think that is a dig at PSG. Apparently Evra said the same thing after leaving United for Juve. He said they train harder. He also used to be sick all the time at United after games etc and United just put it down to him having nerves or something like that. But when he got to Juve, they found the problem, which was an ulcer in his stomach. Apparently same with Rom at Inter now. He has shed about 5kg because Inter found he had some type of digestion problem, which the United medical staff couldn't find.
So I understand the professionalism side of things could be better elsewhere but Ander never said that, he said football basically isn't the priority. But answering your other post to me, I agree that we have no clear direction as a club but how has that been allowed to have happened? It should be clear, we win football matches, win titles and entertain along the way. Not worry more about P&L sheets rather than winning football matches.
He didnt join some mid table team for a massive wage, he joined a a European powerhouse desperate for a CL. I applaud his ambition and his wages are just a massive bonus. Hardly going anywhere with the state of our club. Hes already endured more than enough Europa League while in his in prime as is.Is football the most important thing to you Ander for joining PSG?
Also we play loads to the man in charge of the club. He also has no consequences for his failures.
It's not a dig at PSG and I wasn't comparing a dig but two players comparing the atmosphere around two clubs. Herrera didn't say that the club wasn't focused on football, he didn't say "for" Manchester but "at" Manchester, the former would be about the club while the latter is the place and when you take into account his initial point about the staff it makes total sense to understand that he is talking about the people he was interactive with, players and staff.
And think about all the drama that we have had in the last years, none of these things were about football, it was about egos from the manager and without a doubt from players. The mention of business only comes from the reporter and it makes little sense when you consider what Herrera said at first about working hard and the staff being always present.
Oh I agree mate. The whole club is rotten. City are the best club now for football and anyone joining us is just for money. Most players don't care about 'history'.

I mentioned earlier that his interview starts about the interview he did with Marca and how Ander stated that the project at the CLUB were different.
But ok, even if he meant the players and coaching staff, what else would the coaching staff and players be focused on if not the football? Players maybe social media, side businesses etc etc but what about the coaching staff?
Anything, posting on redcafe instead of working.
And the projects are definitely different, one club is a bottomless pit of money that has for goal to create a positive image to Qatar while the other is a football club that is living with its own means and lost its way after losing the greatest manager of all time. Objectively the projects are different in 2019.

Sure he did.
Who embarrassed who in the CL last season?Well at least he left an European embarrassment to a club kind of respected. About time United fans realise that our terrible performance has destroyed our reputation . PSG currently are a bigger European powerhouse than we are.

So are we going to talk about this for years, a bit like John Barnes living on that goal against Brazil.Who embarrassed who in the CL last season?
