It’s shocking that he was dropped, but it’s not like they upgraded him.
At least their other keeper made saves, which is more than Onana can say for himself.

Club and country agreed he'd arrive later, rest is just an issue with between him and the manager.I know, I'm referring to him coming out of retirement, missing the first game, playing one game, then getting dropped
Yet if he was playing brilliantly for his country you bet you'd be talking about how amazing he was and how everyone that's doubted him is wrong...Club and country agreed he'd arrive later, rest is just an issue with between him and the manager.
Not even sure why people care so much about his international stuff.
You assume incorrectly.Yet if he was playing brilliantly for his country you bet you'd be talking about how amazing he was and how everyone that's doubted him is wrong...
If your car has problems and you pay 50 thousand to get a new car that actually has more problems, you'd wish to have your old car and the 50k in your account instead.
exactly. People need to stop pining for DDG back, who also had his issues towards the end with us. If anything, Kovar would be the shout (but to be fair that wouldve been one hell of a call to go with a young gk like that into the season)DDG would have cost approx £50m more over the course of his contract though, so you wouldn't have the extra 50k in your account in your car analogy. Just the old car. Onana wasn't a stupid move when we made it, though yes he's had a bad start.
He has shown horrendous technique on saves he does make, gets no good lift on either direction, has been glued to his line worse than ddg, and takes ages to pass the ball around with relatively simple passes. Im not saying we dump onana right now but to act like he hasnt been a problem this season is pretty ridiculous. You could easily make the case he pretty much singlehandedly cost us our UCL campaign this season. Im all for seeing how Onana finishes this year up but he has hardly looked worth it so far this season. It still boggles my mind the idea people think Onana is an issue. Our defence has been makeshift all season. We're not scoring any goals. Yet it's our keeper who's let in a few easy shots? Not for me man.
What contract? Can you explain the math?.DDG would have cost approx £50m more over the course of his contract though, so you wouldn't have the extra 50k in your account in your car analogy. Just the old car. Onana wasn't a stupid move when we made it, though yes he's had a bad start.

I'm looking forward to this one as well!
I think they wanna know how he came up with 50million£.You want someone to explain the concept of needing to get DDG to sign a new contract to hold onto him? Seriously?!
I think they wanna know how he came up with 50million£.
The number is wrong but he is right: DeGea would have cost more in wages.
When a new car is a bad starter, at least you can take it back to the dealer to get it fixedDDG would have cost approx £50m more over the course of his contract though, so you wouldn't have the extra 50k in your account in your car analogy. 50m is a figure he got out if his arse. DDG was never getting the same wages as previously. Even if he got 100k per week more than Onana which is highly unlikely, it’s 5m more per year, while Onana cost 50m just in transfer fees.I think they wanna know how he came up with 50million£.

It's napkin maths but his last contract was apparently close to £400k per week, whilst Onana's is apparently around £100k per week, which is a £300k difference, and £300k per week equals £15.6m per year, which is close to £50m over a 3 year contract, and the 3 year contract I made up to suit my agenda.
It isn't indisputable at all. De Gea was chucking the ball into his net plenty of times last season. He was also shoddy in possession. What is indisputable is that we have a keeper now who is worse than the keeper we had last year.
Onana has been an issue. Certainly not as big an issue as some are making out, but he's definitely not blameless either. Hell, in the CL he was the one most at fault and is the main reason we got knocked out.It still boggles my mind the idea people think Onana is an issue. Our defence has been makeshift all season. We're not scoring any goals. Yet it's our keeper who's let in a few easy shots? Not for me man.

That's pretty much where I am as well. He's been a huge issue in the CL. There's no reason to think we'd be any better off in the PL if we'd stuck with De Gea.
And even if we think about the CL alone, we know that DDG made some horrific howlers in Europe last season.
Of course, there is an alternate universe where we replace DDG with a much better keeper than both him and Onana. That's the one I'd rather be living in. But I don't know who that keeper is, or if he was available last summer.

Just you wait, all three will be pinned on him.Conceeded 3 tonight but wasnt at fault for any of them, 1 was a pen and the other 2 were poor defending

He could have reacted better at the Kilman goal, but he didn't have a bad game. Average performance, few okayish saves.Conceeded 3 tonight but wasnt at fault for any of them, 1 was a pen and the other 2 were poor defending
Are you being serious, you could have driven a double de ker bus between Onana and his near post for the third goal!!!
