Like Jose, hasn't he won trophies with every other team he's managed? Whether he just leaves or is sacked it'll be quite impressive that Spurs have blotted yet another manager's record.

Not heard Jamie Redknapp raving anymore about how Utd should have appointed Conte.

The only sad part is Conte will probably down tools and leave soon making a nice easy path for Liverpool to take top 4.

Needing a goal and he subs on Davinson Sanchez for Kulusevski, that sums him up as a manager

Fecking Conte would play three CBs and wingbacks in a 5-a-side game.

He should just go back to Italy and stay there, should go back to Juve and retire there with a lot of domestic silverware.

He used to get the better of Pioli on a regular basis.

Morale there is rock bottom. They know Conte won’t be there next season. I think very little chance they finish in the top four, 6th most likely.

Conte's poor record in Europe continues.
It is quite poor in honesty

Embarrassing club. There’s fans must be fed up of this rubbish. This is why I’m glad we didn’t go for conte when a lot of people wanted him, they wanted him just because things was really bad with us. Can’t see him being there next season. Such a poor run club. Need a restart with a progressive manager.

Spurs were always going to need serious and sustained investment. What they probably underestimated is the pretensions the fans have towards a certain style of football, which means Conte is never going to get much latitude for "par" or a period of years to build up the squad.

He used to have the better players… He had a much weaker midfield in this tie. Not much they could do other than hope for poor finishing form Milan (which happened) and for Kane to invent something for them, which he was very close to do with that header (saved by Maignan// The better keeper by some distance).

I think Conte blew it in the first leg when Milan were still missing some key elements (specially Miagnan). They could have scored one or two in Milan if they’d dared attack more...

Big big mouth from a player that has managed 2 goals in the whole season.
Kind of hard to score when you don't play. He has played 90mins just 4 times this season

Spend 60m and dump him on the bench even when the attack is wank

To be fair, he should have had a look at the squad before he went there. Their three best players are their three attackers, two of which have a long and storied history with the club. It was a poor move from the get-go.

I agree, but Richarlison himself hasnt been great when given minutes. It's not like he's performing and Conte is just benching him because he doesnt like him for whatever reason. Truth he hasnt done enough to be making those kind of statements.

Richarlison isn't Pele, but he'd have had a huge impact playing for us in comparison, Conte has totally wasted him, it's been shocking management from a negative bore of a bloke.

What’s it got to do with negativity? Richarlisons best attribute is his off the ball output

Where has Richy been playing for Spurs when he comes on? I've always felt his best position is as a CF. Either as a lone frontman or with a player that he can alternate with but when i've seen him and Spurs he always seems to drop a bit deeper at times than he probably should be.

Have they really done any worse than you'd expect of Tottenham? He qualified for the CL in his first season there, and made it to the knockout stage by topping a group which included the EL winners, the 2nd biggest team in France, and Sporting. We've been knocked out of easier groups than that during Fergie's reign. In what world is that an underperformance for Spurs? They are, at best, the sixth biggest club in England. They're currently in 4th place and it's perfectly feasible for them to qualify again.

What business do Tottenham have demanding more than that? Who are they supposed to surpass? Can anyone seriously claim that it's a failure for a manager to not elevate the club past United and City? To not reach the latter stages of the CL?? What kind of wildly unrealistic nonsense is that? For two seasons in a row now, Conte has done at least as well as anyone could possibly expect of Tottenham, and probably a bit more.

Is it because Spurs fluked their way to a CL final a few years back that people have suddenly lost their minds and want their manager sacked anytime he can't make the impossible happen again? Or what? Getting knocked out of the CL by a single goal in a two-legged tie, by a club of the same general stature, is not some kind of embarrassment.

Would anyone take Richarlison here? He fits the profile for ten Hag. Hard-working, good hold-up play, useful in the build-up, physical presence, and a decent enough finisher.
