There are some similarities, although Arsenal’s problems are a lot bigger. There was under imvestment under SAF and when our older players started to retire it was exposed.

I mean more so in the present, for the size of our club and ambitions we are still under investing and for some reason our fan base think it would be shameful to invest more.
Theres also a lot of delusion regarding our squad and what positions we need to fill out still among our fans, some people genuinely think that Perreira and Lingard are quality enough to be a starter for us if we want to win the title. Maybe under fergie but players like that in the current era with current managers cant win the league and challenge for big titles consistently like we should. Perreira still has room to improve but someone like Lingard should be delegated to a squad player at his best form

Not poor at all, it's literally the point of him and the channel. If they didn't look like mugs, no one would watch and he doesn't make money.

That's not true. We had plenty of money set aside already because we had qualified for the CL and we sold players.
We tried to get Virgil early in the summer. Rumoured to be around 55 million but then Southampton discovered that Klopp had already spoken to Virgil in a secret meeting and called it off. They added 15 million or so in December.
The Phil to Barcelona rumours heated up afterwards, early August.
We didn't want to sell Phil at all which is why we made Barcelona pay big, big money, so big that Phil had to pay some of it from his own pocket to get it over the line. I think it was around 90 million up front to Liverpool, the rest in instalments. BTW, most deals are paid in instalments over the period of a contract to the selling team. So Southampton probably get 10 to 15 million a year from us per year.

Tbf they are away at the most in form team in the league. Ok I didnt expect that kind of a mauling but some of Arsenal's results even the Arsenal fans on here would probably agree were kind. And a draw would probably have represented a more realistic reflection of the game.
