Looked like they were destined to win it after their comeback win vs Bournemouth. Are they actually gonna bottle it?

They have been immensely lucky this season. I also don't think they have played the level of football that we have seen City play or Liverpool play in their peak. Those late winners against Villa United and Bournemouth are the difference.
They've sure had so fortuitous wins though some would say it's a sign of champions.

The look on their faces at the final whistle…pressure pressure pressure.

Lucky for them City are a game behind so they haven’t even needed to play with them breathing down their necks yet.

Before the game, at Anfield, I would have signed for a draw. You cannot win every games. Make sure you don’t loose sometimes.

Hopefully they both shithouse their way to a draw
Newcastle can depend on Spurs being shite, and maybe us too. Arsenal can't depend on City being too shite.

Newcastle would probably take a draw from that match if offered, Arsenal NEED to win.

It's a crap result when they were 2-0 up and cruising.
That doesn't make any sense. Either 2-2 at Anfield is a great result or it isn't. Regardless of Liverpool's recent issues, Anfield is a bitch of a place to play at (they've defeated City and United) and Arsenal would have taken a point before the game if offered

Must be gutted today. Such a poor second half and throwing away a 2 goal lead.

In the end very fortunate to scrape a point but this could be a turning point in the league and you sense the players were rattled.
In all honesty Arsenal got absolutely battered by a poor Liverpool team. Liverpool had an xG of 3.96. 3rd highest in any league game this season. Higher than them beating us 7-0. Arsenal have stolen a point which probably isn’t enough.

They bought into the 'Anfield' hype, although what Xhaka did (much like Arteta last season) was stupid. You need calm heads. Don't ruffle the crowd.

Is there a rule against giving fouls against Liverpool at Anfield.

Bottled 2-0 lead. Very stupid to go down easy and time waste already in first half at Anfield. This gave Liverpool excuse to intimidate the ref during the break time. Coward approach in the second half while the ref tolerates Liverpool being more physical, only ends up badly with that one goal lead. 2-2 is a lucky result for Arsenal in the end.

In the end it won't be close. City will win the league by around 6 points.

Thought the ref was excellent apart from failing to send off Xhaka for the second yellow in the second half. Didn't fall for any of the play acting from either team. Tierney on Salah was a borderline penalty though. Love seeing players not being awarded for consistent diving.

They have to avoid defeat against city. Extremely difficult. Xhaka might have costed them the title.

It’s the manner of it though. Can make all the difference.
you have to respect the opponent and Liverpool were really good in second half. No shame to recognize.

He was a home referee, one soft penalty. No time wasting would haven’t changed the referee behavior. Xhaka went to the ground several times and never got the whistle.

Negatives first, Xhaka did help get the Liverpool crowd back into it and after that moment, arsenal didn't settle and Liverpool scored a minute later.
Arsenal's subs, inviting Liverpool on Especially given Liverpool took of fabinho was a bit crazy.

But arsenal shouldnt be disheartened by a draw. It's a big point and things are still in their hands. If they avoid defeat at city, they are good. Newcastle will be a tough game too. Arsenal's next two games are winnable and what they need to try build momentum again.

Tough one. First 40 minutes looked fantastic. Started to show cracks after that. I wish Xhaka could control himself better, let Arnold act like a scumbag and get the crowd fired up. Feel like if he just acted professional and let Arnold get fouled the team wouldn't have lost focus for that goal. End of the second half, felt a draw was a flattering result. There were a couple chances on counters though that I feel could have been goals but alas not to be. It's well in the hope for the best, prepare for the worst mindset now.

It’s because he got done like a kipper on the equaliser and probably knows it’s probably blown it for them.
But to cry? I mean it's not a cup match or similar. It's still in their hands.

And funny thing is, at the end they blew the counter attack. Just needed a good pass to saka who was in acres

That really happen? I remember the Gallas incident and that was a big moment for them that year.

They have West Ham away and Southampton at home before the big game against City. They simply have to win those two or else I think it's really over for them. The fixtures really do not look good for them and City have a great recent history of beating teams in close title races.

If he was crying, it’s not that much of a job to guess why his emotions might be closer to the surface than you might expect.

West Spam away is pretty interesting, they got absolutely rinsed by the Barcodes but have been picking up results otherwise. Anything less than 3 pts there and it gets very cagey for Le Arse going into the game at Emptyhad.

Their fixture list is awful in comparison to Citys. Citys only tough looking fixture for them on paper is Arsenal themselves while Arsenal have City/Chelsea/Newcastle back to back.

If we scratch the game at ManCity away as a win to ManCity. So then now they would be level on points with us.

We both play Chelsea at home.
We have Newcastle away + Brighton home, they have Brighton + Brentford away
So then its pretty similar fixtures and same points tally.

Basically, Man City away is a Cup final for us. We Win/Draw advantage to us. Lose advantage to them.

Brenford are in holiday bro.

Only Brighton away might be a game city will be required to be 100%. City can conjure 9 wins from here, can Arsenal conjure 7 wins from here, doesn't seem probable.

Arsenal will be beaten in Etihad.

Main undoing for Arsenal is City will beat them twice, they needed a draw/win at home.

Needing to get a result in Etihad is a gigantic proposition.

Grealish, Halland, KDB will be turning like Cobra's in that game. It's a daunting task

Id fully expect City to get 6 points out of the Brighton/Brentford games, while I can see Arsenal dropping points vs Newcastle/Brighton/Chelsea.

Theres the hope that City will be knackered after Bayern eliminate them (hopefully) and drop points but I cant see that happening.

Arsenal not getting beaten at the Emptihad is now pretty much a requirement.

The team Moyes decides to use in the away game in Belgium could have a big impact on how fresh West Ham are in that game. I’d say it’ll be easy three points for Arsenal.

When we're crap we have a tendency to ruin other teams title aspirations (Rodgers' Liverpool, Spurs). I would love nothing more than to do that against Arsenal, with maybe Mudryk having his only good performance of the season. Not only to dent their title hopes but as payback for all the jammy wins they've gotten against us over the past 5 or so years.

Two London derbies, City and Newcastle away, and Brighton at home is a very challenging run-in. Will be interesting to see how they handle having lost two points won from a winning position here.

Pep's City are a horrible team to be in a title race with. They just never give up and always seem to hit unstoppable form in the last two months of the season.

Context matters though, no? You could be 2-0 up against Brazil 1958 and it would still be disappointing not to secure the win from that position. Of course a point at Anfield is a good result in general, but having been 2-0 up, 2-2 is a bad result.
