Of course. Only the game vs United is their cup final. Get Pep'd, lite Pep!

Everyone except the bookies who are probably the best judge?Everyone was expecting you to beat an out of form City team and send a message.
You failed.
Yeah some are making it sound like they rested everyone. Literally all the first choice players were on the pitch.Arsenal were awful. Did they even register a shot in the second half? Man City played that in 2nd gear.
Funny as they still had Gabriel, Partey, Xhaka, Saka, Tomiyasu and Nketiah on the pitch and ended it with Zincheko, Odegaard, Martinelli and Saliba on the pitch.
I mean they have been undefeated against everyone in the league minus us.Of course. Only the game vs United is their cup final. Get Pep'd, lite Pep!
Ahh yeah the bookies are always reliable and trustworthyEveryone except the bookies who are probably the best judge?
So do you think that game just played will have scarred us?And what score was it ?
It’s a poor attitude from Arteta considering they’re playing 1 game a week and today was a free hit to go all out against the only team that can derail his title bid. Instead he and Arsenal flopped. City played that as if it was a testimonial.Yeah some are making it sound like they rested everyone. Literally all the first choice players were on the pitch.
Given the rest they have between each game it’s a very odd attitude when trying to create a winning culture.
You said everyone expected us to go there and win. So were we favourites for the game?Ahh yeah the bookies are always reliable and trustworthy
Agree with you. Weird some Arsenal fans are celebrating it.It’s a poor attitude from Arteta considering they’re playing 1 game a week and today was a free hit to go all out against the only team that can derail his title bid. Instead he and Arsenal flopped. City played that as if it was a testimonial.
Does make sense though, if you gave them that money next summer it won't put them in a better position than they are in now to win the title. If Caicedo deal does happen, Arteta would have got another insane backing £100m in summer and £100m plus now in winter. Let us not forget they were the highest spender last season as well in the summer 2021 transfer.
The man is working on a good budget so I hope this myth dies that he is working on limited budget.
We rotated havily and the inensity wast there. Felt like our match to Brighton when you just felt the edge was off.Everyone was expecting you to beat an out of form City team and send a message.
You failed.
100%. I myself said when mudryk deal was about to happen, it's a good time to invest and back.Does make sense though, if you gave them that money next summer it won't put them in a better position than they are in now to win the title.
I'm not sure where that myth gets said, because it's mentioned in the Caf nearly every day that he's been backed. If Caicedo deal does happen, Arteta would have got another insane backing £100m in summer and £100m plus now in winter. All your first choice players got on the pitch. It was a lifeless performance which would have me at least a little concerned. We rotated havily and the inensity wast there. Felt like our match to Brighton when you just felt the edge was off.
Were a different animal in the league.
But I was expecting it. In a Gary Neville voice 'will this result be a phycological blow to Arsenal, will they wither and allow this result to blow up their season'. All thats missing is a Beethoven score to heighted the dramatic reaction to an FA Cup exit.
This game will have no impact on our approach to City in the league, for better or worse.
Last time they were relevant in the league he was still playing. Why does Gary Neville live rent free in Gooner heads?

Why are they spending so much suddenly? Did i miss something?
Getting beat by City at The Etihad in a tight game isn't concerning. Losing 5 and 6 goals against them at The Etihad is concerning. All your first choice players got on the pitch. It was a lifeless performance which would have me at least a little concerned.
You’re playing one game a week and had an opportunity to knock out City and lay down a marker. Not only that look at getting a cup double.
Good question, even at arsenal mania they really care about what he has to sayWhy are they spending so much suddenly? Did i miss something?
Is that really surprising? They struggled to beat us at the Emirates despite the fact that we had only 3 days rest vs their 6, and with us missing 3 of our starting 11. This leads me to believe that it is unlikely that Arsenal can cope with a high volume of games, and remains to be seen how they will handle the rest of the season. If I were them, i would put all of my eggs in the Premier League basket. If they win it, they won't care about a foregone FA cup.All your first choice players got on the pitch. Good point. Henry made it too after the game v United. Is that really surprising? that’s why you should have a modicum of awareness when advising other people about their “flowery prose”. Get over yourself, kid.I've seen you reference 2005 a few times now. Move on mate. We've been here more than half our adult lives now if you didn't notice.
I never specified about Caf posters. It is the general consensus that not only some arsenal fans have but also some neutrals have used as an excuse. Arsenal have spent good amount of money and arteta has received enough backing is the point I was making.I'm not sure where that myth gets said, because it's mentioned in the Caf nearly every day that he's been backed.
fair enough, but I would go as far to say we looked more on edge against United especially in the first half than against City today. Maybe it’s because it’s a cup game? That being said City also looked half arsed.I just think everyone expected more and that performance was very poor. You have a week either side of this game and should have been pumped to win this and send a message (whilst positioning yourself nicely for a cup double).
You looked comfortable in losing a knock out cup game…
They didn’t rest anyone. They all played minutesBlessing in disguise
The FA Cup means nothing to them given they're fighting for the title after so many years. A rested squad gives them that edge in the remaining games.
Caicedo transfer becomes even more important.Tweet

There's apparently no other potential outcome. Either lose by 1 or lose by 6.What?
I don’t even think it’s the result. It’s the effort and attitude. Very odd. There's apparently no other potential outcome. Either lose by 1 or lose by 6.
Arsenal fan speaking about big losses irony.Getting beat by City at The Etihad in a tight game isn't concerning. Losing 5 and 6 goals against them at The Etihad is concerning.
