On the basis of how they have judged past winners, I tend to agree Ronaldo will be there or there abouts.

Messi, Suarez, Neymar. In that order.

Erm, I can't find Messi in that list. Which would be crazy. Mistake?

Edit: Okay, it's only 10/30 with the rest going to be announced soon.

Should be Suarez.

Will probably be Ronaldo picking it up for his amazing leadership from the bench.

I am not sure why Dybala is there and we won't win anything there, but I am happy to see that we have the most players on that list.

Edit: I see, this is not the full list.

Hopefully Griez gets Top 3

For me, should be Suarez as winner, with Messi and Griez in the Top 3

Can't see Ronaldo not being included though

Ronaldo put the decisive penalty away, something Messi couldn't. Ronaldo was very important for both club and country, so he should get his hands on the price.

Finally a United player. Pogba should be there too?
Any Utd players nominated will be there because of performances whilst playing for teams other than Utd - I wouldn't get too excited. (De Gea being an exception if he is on list tbf)

Ronaldo has 41 goals this calendar year, which includes 11 goals for his country, a UCL win and a EC win.

He also managed 16 goals in that UCL win for Real Madrid and was a big reason in Portugal winning in Europe (whether people want to believe it or not). Ronaldo was also the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year for 2016.

He should win it imo.

I would put Messi and Griezmann in the top 3 as well

Won't be. They've reached the letter L.

Ronaldo might win it because of the Euro win but he hasn't been the best player in the past year - you would find it difficult to pick players ahead of Messi or Suarez imo.

Ronaldo didn't even play in that final, didn't touch a ball, while Messi was clearly the only one trying to win something for Argentina. He played his best final clearly.

But in the end i realized people don't even watch the games and are just based on stats.

Ronaldo is not even one of the 5 best players in the world right now. His major contribution was vs Wales, and that's it. Messi played an outstanding Copa America, incluiding the final.

If this thing is based on awards, Pepe should be the next Ballon d'Or, or Griezmann, or Bale. If it's based on who's the best player in the world, Messi should win it easily.

1. Ronaldo
2. Messi
3. Suarez

However, Ronaldo don't even deserve to be in the top 3 but people are still going to vote for him because of his Euro and Champions League winners medal. The award should go to Messi or Suarez. Shame Messi didn't win the Copa Centenario, could have made this interesting.

So, I get now that they already passed the "Pi" surnames Gerard Pique isn't nominated, when Sergio Ramos gets in the list with Pique out I'll be basically done with this award

Messi and Suarez have both been better than Ronaldo but Ronaldo will win it anyway. Which shows just how overrated the Ballon D'or is currently. The Redcafe poll is genuinely more reliable.
