Benjamin Sesko | Arsenal working on deal

I’d love to see what an unimportant proposal would look like. “Sup Benny? Fancy signing. No bother if not.”

How would that work? We play one up front, and I don’t think either suit the 10 role?
Huh? He’s a striker. Who would you rather us sign out of these two strikers?

Would anyone prefer to sign this guy then Gyokores?

To me, he looks like a more refined, technical player than Gyokeres. His dribbling looks far better. Maybe Arsenal think he is potentially better in the possession game and when they have to play in tight spaces against a low block.

Gyokeres had good hold up and link up play, but is more blinkered when facing goal and just wants to let a shot off.

You asked if we’d prefer to sign this guy, then Gyokores.

Did you not mean sign Sesko this window, and then get Gyokores later on?

I did wonder. Signing them both would be madness!

I’d prefer Gyokores because of experience, but wouldn’t turn down either.
Fair play. I have a sneaking suspicion that the narrative on the forum would be different if it were the other way round, and there would be a huge panic that we were missing out on the most prolific striker in Europe

He has the best YouTube highlights, but would be far too expensive and may not fit Amorim's desired profile for a 9.

That said, Gyokeres, Osimhen, Sesko, Schick - any of them would do. In fact, if we miss out of Gyokeres, an experienced and less expensive Schick would be a great alternative imo.

Anyone think there's a chance we'll be back in for him now if Arsenal have chosen Gyokeres? Club like him based on previous attempts to sign him some years back, quoted prices seem to be cheaper than Ekitike.

If we can't get Osimhen then not against it

I dont think Etikike will actually go for 100m EUR

The problem is if Liverpool, Chelsea and United all want him then one of them overpaying to beat the competition becomes plausible.
Yeah Liverpool might but I dont know if they'll want to have another big ticket forward after Wirtz. Chelsea just got Delap so I think they wont push too far for Ekitike for those reasons. The player is also quite the fan of Manchester United so who knows I guess.

We have to offload some of the dross we already have at the club before we spend big on a striker as we will see after we bring Mbeumo in.

He is more complete footballer, for the future, made it in a better league, and not that raw as people say. I would go for Šeško if I were Arsenal. Not sure if he fits Amorim's system.

Sesko is the more technical player and much more athletic. Not that VG isn’t athletic, Sesko just has top tier athleticism. Huge, very agile for his size, explosive, great jumper. Think VG is the better finisher at this point and more of a sure thing. Would be a risk to go after the young, raw striker again, but his potential is far higher than our last big money gamble at striker (and higher than VG).

I would love the guy. He is better than Gyokeres and Arsenal really should be going in for him.

Not seen enough of him but from whatever I have, he looks much more the type of striker we need - someone who can create chances for others and himself, rather than just depending purely on service.

Gyokeres makes more sense for Arsenal who don’t really have a creativity issue.

yes. In case we sign Mbeumo, we have Cunha, Mbeumo, Bruno and Amad who are good/decent at scoring goals. A striker who is good at holding up play and setting up for teammates would work perfectly.

It would actually make sense for Arsenal to sign Gyokeres and Sesko. Sesko probably is not ready to be the main man and is a lot younger. Given they don’t really have a CF at all

Both? I doubt they have that kind of money

They’re not going to sign both

Nope. He is more raw and more expensive. We tried throwing a young striker to lead the line and it didn’t work. Why do it again? Plus he doesn’t know the system.

Because he’s better than Hojlund.

Still a risk but every transfer is.

This guy might be raw, but clearly has the most talent of all the possible options available.

He has crazy athleticism for his size, speed and also great technique. His link up play is also very good.

The position the clubs finds itself in the moment it is obvious players will pick Arsenal before United, but getting Sesko and not Gyokeres, might turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
