Players who just unsettle the opposition and cause a decay in their structure and tactics

A player such as Fellaini who'd elbow the shit out of everyone and serve as a massive tree to knock down the ball to other players

Nunez throws both sides into chaos, for better or for worse.

Rory Delap with his long throws that for most of a season nobody could figure out how to defend.

Adama Traore. He causes chaos yet he only ever produces a goal/assist on average every 7th appearance.

Suarez. His dribbling style was so bizarre at times and it looked really clumsy. The ball would just bounce for him perfectly.

People only say Nunez because Carragher dubbed him "Captain Chaos" but really he's just very shit, missing a load of chances doesn't make someone chaotic.

It's not the missed chances that makes him chaotic though. They're just a bonus — it's his high-octane and physical playing style, off-the-ball movement and pressing that leads to lots of chances and turnovers, which is something that is usually associated with chaos in football.

Not sure if that Carragher-given nickname is that well-known. I haven't heard about it personally.

Moyes loves those kind of players doesn't he?

Not necessarily direct comparisons with the elbowing, but players who were good in the air arriving late in the box. Could throw teams off and be very effective as central defenders couldn't really break from their defensive line to challenge them as they'd be too deep to get there and/or were already marking forwards. Midfielders trying to mark them would be outmuscled much of the time.

Tim Cahill, who wasn't even tall, and Soucek being the others he used like that with very good results.

Messi. He created/found spaces that weren’t supposed to be there.

Emmanuel Pogatetz. Out and out nutter. Veering from ending people’s careers to fracturing his skull. Pure agent of chaos.

Park Ji Sung was the ultimate example. Ander Herrera was also useful in this regard.

Allain Saint Maximininimuminin I think I spelled his surname correctly ;)

Update: Just realised he plays in Saudi now. Didn't realised they'd sold him. I'd assumed he was injured. Used to love watching his chaotic runs where no defenders could predict what he'd do, likewise his own team mates. What a loss to the prem :(

Diego Costa.

A complete and utter bastard of a player. Would have loved him at United at his peak.
