Yeah, he very clearly wants to get his career back on track after the disastrous transfer to Leipzig. It's in everyone's best interests that he stays at Ajax for another while.
From the little I've seen from him I haven't seen anything that makes me think he's special or has the potential to be. He seems a really average striker.
His strenght and speed at a young age made him special. That still makes him special in the Eredivisie. Needs to develop in other aspects if he wants to become a top striker. He is at the perfect place to develop though.
Should never have left Ajax. If he stayed at Ajax i dont think they would have bought Haller and instead Brobbey would have a full Eredivisie season and some CL experience to help his development.
He made a mistake to chase money when he left Ajax the first time, and when ETH came calling in the summer, he realised that he is not ready yet to be our starting number 9. Sitting on the bench as a second or third choice striker can be a very bad career move for a young striker. He made the mature choice to allow himself to develop out of the spotlight (a bit like Haaland choosing Dortmund over us). He also made it clear on more than one occasion that his dream is to play for Utd, and he has a good relationship with ETH, so if we want him, I think he is ours for the taking whenever he is ready (Ajax / fee permitting).
This is not what happened.. Brobbey decided to leave áfter Ajax bought Haller.. The coming of Haller actually played a part in his reasoning to move on at the time.

He realised he made a mistake. Young kid influenced by Raiola and his eyes for money. True Ajax got Haller, but Brobbey didnt renew his contract long before Ajax got Haller. Raiola led him to money, his salary at Leipzig was absurd and he had even less chances for playing time.
We were also interested last summer. Looks like a good striker with strong physicality suitable for PL. A much better version of Lukaku with good ball control and passing range.

Could see him doing well there, they don't have a striker like him and watching him and then Giroud and Salomon Rondon (old but still quite strong and great in the air) against the same (Canadian) CBs this summer, Brobbey's incredible strength and therefore ability to receive low passes with his back to goal really stood out to me. Could see him being a really useful option for them even if he doesn't score a ton of goals, since Arsenal dominate possession and you'd think CBs will have to get really narrow to deal with him, might open up some space for others.
No idea if he's good enough (is he a real threat on crosses, lots of other stuff) but he looked an absolute monster in that regard against the same CBs who otherwise have done quite well this summer for Canada. Like Victor Anichebe but not bad at football.
Arsenal definitely, specifically need a striker who will put those chances away. Brobbey ain’t the one. He’s a strong & quick player but not a striker who will complete a top team.
There is a reason why he’s never scored a goal in Champions League or the Bundesliga.
Ideally they'd get a striker who can play against both high lines and low blocks, but those are expensive. Without finding that guy for a decent price or spending 80 or 100M on one (and no guarantee those guys, I guess Gyokeres or Osimhen, work out), I can see the case for signing a very strong player who can help against low blocks like Brobbey (I'm no expert on him, so maybe Ajax fans can say if this is indeed the case) and I guess just play Havertz or Jesus in games where the opposition isn't in a low block and you just want a quality all-around footballer out there.
I'm not saying he's going to prosper (or fail), just that he certainly looks a very different stylistic option to their current strikers.

Wish I was… my point is everyone was moaning that we let ETH have to much say in transfers and he made mistakes by bringing in Antony. And targeting a lot of Dutch players mainly who he’s managed before.

But this Brobbey link is worthless, he's never had anything to do with Zirkzee, and both Zirkzee and De Ligt are reported to have been club suggestions originally. So there's just no substance to what you're saying here.
