Would also be illegalWell he has more than enough, and it would help. It'd be nice of him.
I don't think he'd be interested in doing that, but he could give significant help to Bury FC.
That is absolutely outrageous.43 of the 51 companies Steve dale has been involved in have been liquidated. What happened to the fit and proper person test the football league have?

Again, THE LEAGUE CAN'T STOP PEOPLE BUYING STUFF, all they can do is remove the club's registration, which is what they are doing because the test was never passed.43 of the 51 companies Steve dale has been involved in have been liquidated. Disgusting piece of work this bloke is.The main asset is the stadium and the land it is built on. The Council can make this guy's life hell by not issuing permits on any sort of development. Problem is, with the club gone you are effectively creating a derelict mammoth and sooner or later they'll have to give in because that's no good for anyone either.
He now just has to sit and wait, basically.
Think I have read, bury will be expunged from the records for this season, and there will be one less relegation place this season. So what happens to league 1? Will they have 22 teams? Does that change promotion from league 2 to enable more spots to come up this season?
Did they cancelled games allocate points to the teams they were facing?
As not nice as it sounds to me as united fan, city is run very smart by all aspects, they have maybe best academy in england, best training centre, not overpaying wages actually. Sheikhs invested their money really well and i have feeling they could became easilly not dependable on them in few years. TV money is so crazy in PL. Would be really hard to take them down from there. Hopefully pep starts to be bored there soon.City fans will no doubt accuse me of bitterness here, but what's happened to Bolton could easily happen to them too, if Mansour ever pulled out.
Bolton relied on a wealthy backer for years, overspent on players their attendances and revenues couldn't justify, and are now paying for it.
Exactly the same thing happened to Leeds, Portsmouth and various other clubs and it's just a crazy way to run a business.
All the pundits falling over themselves to praise City and Guardiola should think about what the club represents, and how dangerous it is.
Anyway, let's hope Bury and Bolton can pull something together. Both clubs are fulcrums of their community and mean so much to the people who follow them.
No matter what you might think they can't anymore. just like Chelsea. They are big enough now to even get sponsors not related to their owner. Chelsea hasn't been given much money this days by Roman. Big enough to make money off commercial deals and have players on the books that can cost a pretty penny.City fans will no doubt accuse me of bitterness here, but what's happened to Bolton could easily happen to them too, if Mansour ever pulled out.

The premier league doesn't care about what happens in the lower league. They broke away for that very reason. Better deals, more control, more money.Every football fan should be devastated by this, two historic club's going out of business at the same time.
Unfortunately I feel this will be the first of a new wave of struggling football clubs until the money filters down from the top in a fairer way.

Yup, agree with this. The premier league doesn't care about what happens in the lower league. They broke away for that very reason. Better deals, more control, more money.

It would make more sense that they are considered last and one less team gets relegated. Wouldn't be fair to relegate the same number of teams + Bury, someone would be getting screwed there. So what happens to league 1? Will they have 22 teams? Does that change promotion from league 2 to enable more spots to come up this season?

There isn't one or it isn't adequate.43 of the 51 companies Steve dale has been involved in have been liquidated. What happened to the fit and proper person test the football league have?
You are right. Plus Abramovich did the 'smart' thing in setting up a trust fund three years after his takeover. The Premier League clubs, certainly the top six, have become too big to 'do a Leeds'.No matter what you might think they can't anymore. just like Chelsea. They are big enough now to even get sponsors not related to their owner. Chelsea hasn't been given much money this days by Roman. Yeah you're right, that's what they'd aim to do. They've generally bought well and don't have too many Sanchez-esque players stuck on huge wages, so they could manage the firesale quite easily.City are probably too big for it to happen, similar to Chelsea. City's wage structure is pretty solid, they don't pay astronomical wages. Obviously their income is inflated with the deals with Etihad etc but barring that their revenue stream is pretty decent in terms of CL money, PL prize money and TV rights. If the owner did walk then they could just sell their big players for huge money and continue as a mid table club. It's much harder for a big club with big assets to fall in this situation as opposed to a smaller club who's best players won't be worth much.
Brutal as it is, I agree with you here.Have to strongly disagree.
No way should the Premier League or the clubs give money to crooked owners or fund sheer incompetence. You cut your cloth according to the TV deals, sponsors and gate receipts/merch.
If an owner wants to asset strip a club it would foolish in the extreme to fund that.
What should happen is more safeguards in terms of rules so clubs can be used to fund other crap or gamble the club away.
If there's something viable about the club it will carry on and survive just like any business.
More money just means more money to steal or misuse.
