According to this (and other reports), Casemiro was set to start on the bench and the "injury" occurred when he was warming up in the dressing room before the match.

No I agree, I’m not saying he deserved to play and the decision was justified but it must be difficult for someone like him to take being dropped for a player like Amrabat.
