Marvelous groups. It's gonna be one hell of a ChL. Ronaldo back to Old Trafford. PSG vs Scouse. Barcelona got a hard group but that's positive for them. Lord Pepus got off easy. Atletico vs Borussia D. will be beautiful. Madrid still lucky even without Zidane/CR.

With all due respect to Valencia, we should get through to the Round of 16 with ease, as 2nd (let's be realistic).
in theory we should, but we havent improved much since Sevilla, and they are clearly better. I wouldnt be so sure, we are so inconsistent, that we could top the group if Juve arent up to speed or end up 3rd.

Like the group. I mean last proper, big CL game against a top club was more than 4 years ago against Bayern with Moyes. It's what CL is or should be about.

And if we can't get past Valencia, no point advancing anyway. Looking forward to the games.

Horrible draw.

Juve are gonna cruise past us, 6pts for them.
Valencia will be tough as nails for a team like us, I say a narrow win at home and a narrow loss away.
Young Boys should be 6pts.

Us and Valencia going to the wire to see who finishes second.

A very exciting draw - some mouthwatering ties there.

The return of Ronnie, Pereira returns and Pogback-back?

As a neutral (but wanting Liverpool to get thrashed), PSG-Scousers should be absolutely electrifying!

Spurs-Barca

Trust shitty to get a boring group, clearly no one will give a shit about their CL exploits.

How long until there's a confirmed fixture list for the group stage?
At some point today. Pretty sure they get confirmed the day of the draw.

Are they changing kick off times this season for the group stage? Something like half the games at 6 then the other half at 8.

The group with Porto always seems to be a joke group. No offense to our resident Porto fans, but I can’t rmemeber the last time they were actually in an interesting group.

We could well need the Europa to get back into the CL again the way we've started the season.

I can actually see us winning away against both Juventus and Valencia and then fecking it up in the return ties at home.

With our squad, there is absolutely no reason why we can’t qualify from this group.

Our squad is much much better than the performances under Mourinho have indicated.

Not the easiest group for us is it.

Liverpool and City should both walk theirs.

I think it's only 2 matches at 6 each day.

Poor Red Star

Liverpool favourites for me in group D. They are better than PSG and Napoli.
Napoli I’ll give you, but there’s no way Pool are better than PSG. Psg are level at worst, but imo they’re better.

Juve will be tough. Anyone else remember our last meeting in 2003? Giggs came on for Forlan and scored two. Ruud came on for Giggs and scored our third.

I have serious doubts about them due to the league they play in and not being tested enough domestically.

And do Bayern ever get a tough CL group?

I honestly don't think we're in a position to be talking about 'joke' groups. This is a nicely spread competition so far.

Really happy with that. Feels like a late 90s/early 00s group. Whatever happens, these are the games you wanna be in the CL for. Otherwise, what’s the point? It’s not the 70s anymore where you beat Borussia Munchengladbach three times and then have a final.

If we do lose, at least we lose to some proper European teams on some proper European nights. feck playing Roker Balderdash and AFC Nowherestan just for sake of saying we’ve qualified. Whatever state we’re in, we’re fecking Man Utd you shower of joyless cnuts.

We haven't played against a big European team for about 4 years. Might as well do it now, even if we crash out as a result.
