Champions League QF Draw | Manchester United v Barcelona

Just wear your Chelsea shirt and you'll be escorted into either end free of charge. Chelsea much loved everywhere in Europe.
Indeed don’t forget to sing that one song that goes: Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea ......Chelsea

Come on, ye miserable shower of bastards. We're on bonus time here. What a night it will be at OT. If we're beat, we're beat. Anything could happen. PSG, Barca, Liverpool, City. What a glorious vista. I'm going to ride the positivity while it's here.

Considering Ole's midas touch, it is possible you may have Messi, Suarez unavailable for the ties due to injuries then suddenly you'll start feeling confident. I am happy with Liverpool draw but at the same time I hope team doesnt take Porto lightly.

Think Juventus are nailed on to win this year with Ronaldo so I don’t why people are caring so much about who we draw.

Everything is a bonus after PSG. Ole’s done a smashing job to get us this far. Reckon it’ll be a much tighter affair than people expect anyway. Maybe just get Rojo to make himself useful and knock out Messi in their dressing room before the kick off.

Is the home tie Tuesday or Wednesday?

Edit seen the above post. Wednesday

I'm not sure Porto is a good draw for Liverpool. On the face of it, it is, but they are guaranteed to have two very hard games (Barca/United) in the final weeks of the league campaign and it might hurt their chances for a fist PL title.

30th April/1st - May Barca/United
4th May - Newcastle away
7th/8th May - Barca/United
12th - Wolves home

Might be quite tired for Newcastle away and especially Wolves who have a great record vs the top 6.

No premonition on this one. Hope we stay away from city, barca and juve. In that order .

Spurs is really the easiest one .

Porto and ajax will fight hard .

Ajax will get Juve
Barca vs City
Liverpool Porto

More i think about this we will get Barca .Revenge time!

Cough.

As they should be honest. We can hurt them and they aren't the side they used to be but we are an easier opponent then at least three other potential opponents for them.

Pretty much. They also elude to our league commitments and the top 4 race causing potential for further injuries. We have no games where we can afford to rest players either.

Feck off UEFA. This was all fixed for United to get Barcelona. If I was a betting man I would have raked in some money on this.

Mark this post. We will beat Barca in the quarter, Pool in the semis and City in the final to lift the CL this year

Wolves is the last game of the season. If we need to win that game to win the title, no one will feel tired during that game. If we don't have a chance at the title anymore by then, it doesn't matter. I'd much rather play them than a team still in the relegation battle. Most of Wolves' players will be on holiday in their minds.

Newcastle away is a tough one but just gotta suck it up, that's what top clubs do when you're still in multiple tournaments. And I don't think Rafa would go all out to beat us if we still have a shot at the title anyway :smirk:

All that given that we progress, of course.

It’s one thing taking out the French champions but it’s anotjer taking the Spanish champions and even after that the possibility of the 2012 League Cup winners. We’ve still got a chance.

To be the best, you have to beat the best. If we don't beat them then it's obviously not our time yet. To be at this stage is a massive achievement in itself given the severity of the season end of Jan.

I will say that I watched the full Barcelona Lyon 2nd leg the other night & Messi was as good as I've ever seen him. Will be 10x tougher than PSG that's for sure.

Don't worry lads. If we pass Barcelona Ole will at last have a first proper test vs Liverpool. Make or brake for him.

Unlucky last night. You gave it a good go. At least you can still jump on our bandwagon ;)

Oh what a surprise Liverpool get lucky again feels like everything possible is trying to give them a trophy this season :wenger:

Hopefully Porto dump them out, we get past Barca then get Porto in the next round.
Wishful thinking there mate.

Having PSG and Napoli in the group stages and then Bayern next round is lucky? City are the ones with lucky draws this year in all competitions
I agree mate. I want to know what this guy is drinking so I can get some to!

I think this is set up for a potential Juve vs Barca tie in the final.

Also United are 85% going to lose this tie BUT that 15% is. good one if they use it correctly.

United should be thanking the football gods they play home first. Nick a 2-0 scoreline at Old Trafford and you have a chance Baca has a bad away record. If it was at Camp Nou first the tie would be over before it even started.

Barca have an insane home record in the Champions League, something like 40 home games in a row without a loss

Second leg at home would have been better for United

Bore off, newbie.
If you ask mick whoever isn't from Manchester or has a local team which he supports is a glory hunter. Even better if he himself is not from Manchester. Wouldn't be at least surprised.

Enjoyed the run while it lasted. Sorry to sound pesimistic folks but that was the one we could have done without. How the feck will we stop Messi? C'mon Ole do some magic!
