Even without the goal, it was a great start by Villarreal. Liverpool look nervy and have had numerous poor, sloppy touches and passes inside in the opening minutes.

Liverpool will still get a goal or 2 and go through, but they must be ruing those missed chances they had in the 1st leg.

Old name of that stadium was cool. New one is a hollow sponsorship rebranding

We should stick to calling it El Madrigal  :D

Are Villareal strong at home?
I guess so.
The last game they lost at home was vs. Barcelona in November.
In the meantime they played the two Madrids, Juventus and Bayern without losing.

We're also terrible in Spain and away in CL second legs in general.

It's a CL semifinal. That stadium is hell right now. So yeah, probably. I mean they did beat Bayern, dominated juventus and atalanta, battered arsenal last season...

I dont really understand what is happening. How can Villareal player have scored when the greatest CB in the history of the world was marking him. :devil:

When was the last time Liverpool got a red card? Is it a written rule in the game nowadays that they can't get one?

Villarreal will need 3 or 4 I think as Liverpool will almost certainly score eventually.
