Go on, Ashworth! Fight for your freedom.Tweet

I imagine they will be keen to settle now. This could backfire on Newcastle and leave them in a much worse position.Tweet

He has a huge portfolio of clients. Pretty much impossible to avoid.Oh no, not him again…
So does he represent any managers or is it for players?Tweet

Does he have any connection to Amorim?Tweet

He's connected to practically the entire Lusosphere, so without knowing anything else it's really not worth reading into this too muchDoes he have any connection to Amorim?
I think he's Mounrinho's guy or used to be.So does he represent any managers or is it for players?
Viva Ronaldo?Tweet

Think they burnt bridges on his United exit.Viva Ronaldo?
Come back for the final, score the winner, leave on much better terms
I 100% agree. Imagine how stupid they will look if they keep him on (after this disastrous season) and then end up sacking him before Christmas? It will be another season unnecessarily written off.I think if they decide to keep ETH, next season has to be a good one, otherwise I think Ineos and Wilcox's reputations will take a massive hit.
Interesting to see what they will do but at this stage, I suspect we will bring in Tuchel. If it doesn't go well with Tuchel, the excuse can be that it's the start of a new era etc. - I just don't think the excuses are there for ETH.
I don't think it will improve significantly only because we have very injury-prone players and I don't think it will get better, especially with the many upcoming pre-season games and EurosI think if they decide to keep ETH, next season has to be a good one, otherwise I think Ineos and Wilcox's reputations will take a massive hit.

I tend to agree but the optics won't look good for them if they keep ETH and sack him mid season or if he sees out his last season like this one.I don't think it will improve significantly only because we have very injury-prone players and I don't think it will get better, especially with the many upcoming pre-season games and Euros

Mctominay is one of a large number of players in a similar scenario. Their contracts expire at some point over next two years and you don’t want to renew them so you’ve either got to start selling or lose them for nothing. Those reports sound encouraging but I hope it actually materialises into something. We've heard similar stories before.
With the 'flexible approach' in mind, I hope that means a greater chance of cashing in on somebody like McTominay. 2 years left on his contract, 27 years old and had his best goalscoring season. Perfect time to sell.
Yeah, the difference with McTominay is we know there has been concrete interest before and we've already turned down offers of substance for him. He's probably the only player we could theoretically sell who might have added value to his fee this season as well, so he should be an easy sell.Mctominay is one of a large number of players in a similar scenario. Have to break the cycle of renewing contracts and then being unable to sell.
Yes he should be easy to sell for a decent fee and would then help bring in more players. Just be interesting to see if likes of Lindelof and AWB will be sold and replaced. You don’t want to give new contracts to either of those, can leave for free next summer but not going to get much for them now and only so many players can be brought in.Yeah, the difference with McTominay is we know there has been concrete interest before and we've already turned down offers of substance for him. I'm pretty sure Lindelof will be sold. Wan-Bissaka is maybe a bit more 50-50, probably depends on the fee.Yes he should be easy to sell for a decent fee and would then help bring in more players. I'm all for "steps in the right direction" next season. We have been repeating this forever, we must see improvement with modern style of play. We have had enough of counter attacking football with different variations from Moyes, Jose, Ole and ETH.The fact that INEOS have been prioritising management team hires and not knee jerking on the football side suggests it’s not going to be a quick process. Expect next season to be “steps in the right direction”.
There aren’t really any standout managerial candidates that I can see, and we’re going to struggle to shift a lot of the players we want rid of. Add to that the asking price goes up for any player we show interest in. There will no doubt be a bit more frustration yet to come.I'm all for "steps in the right direction" next season. Next season should be reset again for rebuild. Bring in new manager and signs some up and coming young players with good attitude. Get rid of all the problematic players. If this can be implemented, it's already a good start under Ineos.
In March, the game between title rivals Manchester City and Arsenal drew a record U.S. audience of 2.12million and the six most-watched Premier League matches in U.S. history have all aired within the past 16 months.

As much of a giant that we are, I'd actually say we are a bit of a sleeping giant. If Ineos gets this club back on track and we start a consistent rise, a season or 2 of challenging for a title and then winning it our pop as club will easily eclipse any other. The one thing the last 10 years pf disappointment has done is primed this club to pop once we start winning big trophies again. What I don't think we can afford is to go another 10 years without a prem or champs league.didn't know where to post this since it isn't Ineo related nor specific to United - but saw Crafton post this:

I guess the adjacent point I'm trying to make is that hopefully we get back on track soon - I know we still have some of our appeal - but with the prem growing in other regions - would be criminal to miss on potential new fans due to how poor we've been the last decade

Manchester United has made two further changes to its executive leadership.
By mutual consent, Patrick Stewart, interim Chief Executive Officer, and Cliff Baty, Chief Financial Officer, have decided to leave the club at the end of the season. Patrick will be replaced as CEO by Jean-Claude Blanc until the arrival of Omar Berrada on 13 July. Cliff Baty will be replaced as CFO by Roger Bell.
Joel Glazer said: “I would like to thank Patrick and Cliff for their dedicated service to Manchester United and wish them well for the future. Both have been a source of invaluable advice and expertise over many years, and Patrick has served an important role as interim CEO during this transitional phase.”
Sir Jim Ratcliffe commented: “I would like to personally thank both Patrick and Cliff for their support in helping us get to know the club and making us feel welcome and I respect their decisions to now move on as we establish a new management team for the club.”[/qupte]
