It's unlikely someone with tens of thousands of posts on a football forum has anything better to do.

First time since I was about 15 that I am genuinely struggling to commit to watching. Usually I would be loath to be a hypocrite and not support the team whilst demanding the players give their all, but right now I see so little evidence that any of them actually really care, whether they are genuinely angry or embarrassed at what is going on. They half arse it each and every fecking week.

Because you're a fan. Win or lose. Good or bad. You support the team in whatever way you can.

I expect in '99 you would have switched your TV off at half time..
When you feel obliged to watch a group of asshole multi-millionaires that will never give a feck about you act like clowns on the pitch for 10 years straight whilst undermining several managers in the process (Moyes, Mourinho, Solskjaer)

The only player I'm willing to support is Fernandes cause he's the one that gives a feck about the fact that he's playing for Manchester United

Completely different. The 99 side you could get behind win lose or draw. The 3 year span with no titles in the 00’s was still a good watch because you could see the effort.

What do I get from watching players unable to track back, unable to move off the ball, or unable to pass the ball 5 yards? It isn’t about trophies, I watch my local side in league 1 play football and they’re miles off in quality but the effort is there and that I can get behind. They’ll never win a trophy but it isn’t a arduous task as watching United.

Think the last two United matches I didn’t watch live (or went offline until I could watch the game in full unspoilt) was the FA Cup Final in 2018 and West Ham 4-0 United in 2010! I always watch, but this is killing me!

Same. First time i can recall that i have no interest in watching them. You can see they are waiting for the new manager.

If you have feelings of Schadenfreude and like laughing at others. There’s a guy called Harry Maguire who plays for and captain’s Man Utd.

I wouldn't blame somebody for stopping supporting United after this season. The players can't be fecked, our owners have been sucking the club dry for years and it's an expensive hobby.

Hopefully they are all Saturday 3pm games so watching isn’t an option

Almost impossible to convince anyone to watch any of United games until next season. Is this our worst season since Fergie retired? 2018/19 was awful but we had that night in Paris. 2013/14 was terrible, but not sure if it was worse than this one in hindsight. Of course, back then, after winning everything for 20 years, it was a disaster. By now we got used to failure but don't comparing Moyes season to this one, this one is worse (points wise, CL campaign, 5-0 loss vs Liverpool this season etc).

It’s awful now and seems years off anything close to a title challenge

However, I’m absolutely convinced that United will (like Liverpool now) eventually come back and become title challengers again for a sustained period of time

When it happens I’d like to know within myself that I still watched the team back in these times

I stopped watching, other than the odd game where I’ve nothing else to do, under Ole. Bodø/Glimt would seriously run rings around us.

Don't you want to be able to say that you care more about United than the players? If you watch the remaining games, you'll have proved it because God knows, they won't be paying attention to them.

Avoided watching the Leicester City game and was proven right, but ended up caving in for the Everton game. Now I'm full of regret.

How can I convince you to watch when I cannot even convince myself?

Cult leaders dont believe in their own bullshit because they know its a lie but managed to convince other people to believe in them.

Hard. I just wish he’d play some kids. Hell, even give Phil Jones a run of games. Start pre season early. Give pogba and lingard their p45’s. I dont want to see either in a red shirt ever again. No send offs, nothing. cnuts

Wany me to watch? Put it 3-4 potential youngsters. Let they get a feel of the physicality and pace of the game so they know what they need to do off season. I thought Arsenal is nail off to finish 4th. Now it seems that Spurs has the upper hand of finishing 4th. Conte is really doing wonder for Spurs. Why we didn't appoint him? I wonder.

When we get back to the top you can look back on the shitfests of crap football, lacklustre teams and toxic club culture….and it’ll make the winning feel all the sweeter

How many players actually played under Moyes and Solskjaer?

Hmm, if I hadn't quit gambling, I'd consider making a bet every week for United to lose every game. Would at least make the matches more exciting.

I like watching matches with teams that have something to play for. I will still watch Utd but I will probably be quicker to switch to another game if i feel bored/frustrated.

People throwing the towel in saying they aren't watching again this season. For me stick with the team through thick and thin and it'll make you appreciate the better days more when they return and somewhere down the line they'll return again..
