I was out this whole past week. Missed the messages for this. Would have loved to play but then again I'm very busy at the moment. I will certainly be voting though

Rules

1) The voters would be asked to choose a team that will prevail over a three match series on these respective grounds.
  • Eden Gardens, Kolkatta
  • Lords, London
  • SCG, Sydney
The managers in their tactics can specify as to which player will be dropped for which match.
2) Once the round robins are over, the winner of the group can pick two players from the losing teams in his group to replace two in his team. The winner of semi final can win pick one from his opponent's team.

3) The "NRR" in the group will be decided on the basis of vote differential in the following manner. Suppose total votes cast are 20 and the difference in votes is 4. Then vote differential is 4/20 i.e 0.2. NRR will be used to decide the winner of the group in case of multiple teams having same points. If NRR is also the same, then head to head record will be used. If even that is same then half a day voting will take place over the weekend for an ODI match between the two sides.

4) Voting will be open for 24 hours. KM will be charged with task of making polls.

5) More rules may be added when needed :P
 
Varun and I picked Murali in round 2 because there was a 1/2 probability of playing on a spin friendly track, as outlined in the first post. Why are the rules changed now?

Fair point. Lemme have a think.

Would swapping MCG for SCG be a fair compromise since that would make it one spinner friendly track, one seamer friendly and one for both?

Yep, we planned according to the list of stadiums given in which 4 were spin friendly.

If enough people object to random venue change to this rule -

Then, we will go back to the original rule of a randomizer deciding the venue of all matches.

I normally see Sydney as the ground that favours all - batsmen, spinners and even pacers. May be stat king can dig up some stats regarding the same
 
I'm okay with SCG instead of MCG. Zing's not on though so dont know about him.

However, I'd be in favour of a randomizer.

Am not sure people will have the patience to envisage results in 3 different venues.

Think a randomizer for the venue is uncomplicated and straightforward.
 
Should we just make it clear what are the attributes of each ground before it kicks off so that everyone is clear how to judge? I mean, to be clear what kind of player will or won't be effective on a particular surface.

I am gonna stick with how it is now. I want voters to think over before voting so yeah, hopefully they will take their time to ponder over the three venues involved.
 
Btw, under Xenforo anyone can make a poll. So i'm not needed in that case.

Why not combine the two options? We will ask voters to choose a team that will prevail over a three match series on 3 different grounds. Only, for each contest, we will use randomizer to select 3 venues.
So, for ex. Donaldo vs R-I may have SCG, Eden Gardens and Lords while Aldo vs Kazi may have Karachi, MCG, Chepauk (or whatever).

I meant we use a randomizer to pick 1 venue out of 8 originally listed by crappy, for each match.

And it's a 1 match face-off, as opposed to a best of 3.
 
So I've been playing this game on the iphone called stick cricket. Absurdly simple and very addictive. Anyway, one of the main ways to play is an Allstar team that aims for world domination and takes on one country after another. So here's the allstar team they give you
