That's our season fecked already, ffs. Perhaps if the board shown as much urgency and ambition in the transfer market as what Ronaldo is by leaving than he'd stay.

Pissed off is an understatement. Joke of a club.

Rashford is not a striker.
Genuine question, why not? He came through as a 9, scored a few then under Jose was cast as some wide forward. For all his sins, & there were many, had LvG stayed Rashford would be a far better striker than he’ll ever be winger.

I think he’s stagnated to a point where he probably can’t come back but I think EtH could get a tune out of him on a fluid front 3.

If he's leaving you because he wants to carry on competing for the top prizes, he's not going to America.

Juve or Bayern would be my guess.
No way he's going to Juve. Burnt a lot of bridges.

If Dusan Tadic can ply that position for ten Hag, Rashford will be perfectly fine.
Don't think even Tadic ever had a season quite as bad as Rashford last year. And Tadic was God awful in the PL.

Not sure I agree with all those up in arms with the idea of Ronaldo leaving. I'm concerned if he leaves. Rashford would have to somehow find his form again when he barely looked a footballer last season. Bruno would have to get back to his goalscoring best. Greenwood is gone for good. Sancho yet has to settle and never has been a huge goalscorer and who knows whether Martial can be bothered to play proper football again

If he goes, we won't be signing anyone to replace him with.
That would just be a dereliction of duty! Best option right now is Bruno as a False 9 which is telling.

McT, FDJ, VDB in midfield
Rashford, Sancho & Bruno as forwards?

It is not just that he wants to leave. If he said that on time, we would not let Nunez to Liverpool maybe. Guy is such a prick

They won the league mate
I agree they won the league and have UCL football which makes them attractive to Ronaldo for the reasons I suggested.

I should've worded my post differently, sorry for the confusion.

If he does go to Chelsea that's another weird striker signing.

Does Drogba have a football playing son?

I have a better idea. Buy some forwards. Tell Rashford to improve or he'll be watching Man Utd matches from his couch.
This would be the idea but I have no clue who we could get. Are there any proper strikers out there? Nkunku would have been grand but he extended

I completely agree with Alex Shaw and believe we'll score more goals as a team next season without him and function much better as a unit with and without the ball.

I'm in agreement.

I think we should take this opportunity to properly turn over a new leaf and give ETH/Murtough the best possible platform to start of this new era. Ronaldo for all his benefits also has plenty of negatives that may effect ETH and the coaching staff as the tweet mentioned. I'll personally be happy if we let him go and it signifies a new start and a bright future instead of still holding onto past memories and past success.

We may be lacking up front, but shoring up the attack with Ronaldo on mega bucks was always going to be short term. At least we have time to get some new blood in.

He’ll always be a United legend whatever happens. The only sadness was that we absolutely imploded in his season back. Hopefully we reinvest these savings in wages properly.

I think for his own good he's better off on the left were he's got space to think and act

Lacks a positional awareness, isn't a natural finisher, can't hold up a ball and isn't a good header of the ball. That's not very good for a number 9.

In the long run his biggest issue was not sorting out some resolution with Real Madrid before leaving. It’s abit like what’s going on in the NBA with Durant, great players shouldn’t be nomads & he made a terrible decision last Summer that he’s now paying for.

Ronaldo and Lautaro plus cash swap deal?

It would help Inter commercially.

It is good news tbh. Lets resolve striker position this year and give ETH one more player to build team for future

I'm in two minds about this tbh...

Shows piss poor leadership from him and its not what we want or need. But we do need his goals, which is something he will always provide.

Saying that, everything Alex Shaw tweeted is absolutely spot on and we can build a better team without him in the long term.

Realistically, United are just going to have to dig their heels in and keep him

If they’re signing De Jong & Martínez then they won’t have the budget for a World Class striker. Simple as
