It looks worse on the replays, could have taken his head off.

One of the most blatent reds you'll see, what the F was the ref thinking with the yellow in the first place! Wales have massively gotten away with it here.

Are England really good or are USA/Wales really really bad?

Wales are dreadful man. Totally out of their depth in the World Cup.

Goalkeepers are so clumsy. The number of times they end up kneeing people in the face.
Nothing clumsy about it. They deliberately jump with their knees up to stop players challenging them.

From the games I have seen so far the world cup is setting a good example for the use of VAR and added time.

Obvious red card, no idea why the ref thought otherwise

Really hope Wales don't make it to the knockouts. They're awful.

Iran were blown away by England's attack which is probably up there with the best for the tournament.

He's caught him in the face with his knee, red all day long. Not exactly sure why they needed var to figure that out.
He was the last man + caught the player with a knee in the face and the refs first reaction was to draw a yellow

Obviously a red. But I'm surprised the referee don't book several of the players surrounding him there. Really agressive. Is that just not a thing in this World Cup.

Queiroz basically just wanted them to sit deep against us.

When they actually get to play some football they're not bad.

Both statements are probably true.
England recently struggled to score goals from open play and were relegated in the nations league. I wouldn't say they are very good.

My pet hate is players waiting for the cross to come to them in the box while the defenders move towards the ball. Case example there

Not much in it. Both are backup quality keepers for bottom half PL teams.
Leicester will be top half very soon and Ward is starting every week. He had a nightmare start of the season but they've kept 6 clean sheets in last 8 games I think. Ward also played very well at euro 2021.

Fair play to Asian countries, they have really kicked on this World Cup and gave a good account of themselves. Wales will be lucky to come away with a point now.
Iran who have lost 6-2 to us and battling to score against 10 men Wales?
