Well done, he's South Korea.

I remember Brazil crying. Before the match started, and it wasn't correct premonition, it was because they were missing a player. Let 'em dance now.

No. It's part of their culture. It's what makes football such a beautiful sport in that it's all inclusive.

I know the op is playing around (as per usual) but there are a lot of serious posts in here that seem to have a problem with it, call it cringe etc and lemme just say that you guys are losers. I think it's great. Football needs more vibrant stuff in it. Go watch golf if you have a problem with things like this.

I agree with Keane's point. Do it at 1 or 2-0 but doing it at 4-0 is just downright disrespectful. When they were getting battered 5-0 off germany, Löw told them to hold off and show some respect to not demoralise Brazil as a nation.
Now the shoe is on the other foot and they're doing jigs like that getting the manager involved.

Just classless
Yeah completely agree with that, hopefully Croatia are prepared to mix it on Friday and soften them up for Argentina/Netherlands in the semi final

There's an arrogance and contempt for opponents coming through from the Brazil side. Neymar has a sixth star on his shorts after all. It's fair enough but it's also tempting fate and we all know how these things work.

Taking the piss against your opponents is never a good look.

Brazil is a carnival nation, know this then you understand why dancing is part of their lifestyle.

Ronaldinho use to dance a lot, why are there so many people overreacting nowadays?

Absolutely not. It's their culture, just because us europeans are so stuck up doesn't mean we should impose it on others.
It's pure joy of football.

I do like spontaneous dance celebrations in football no matter how ridiculous they might be. There have been some wonderful celebrations over the years. I even liked Griezmann and Sturridge ones. Paqueta's after his goal yesterday was great as well.

But the one after the first goal which was almost like a minute after the goal went in seemed super forced. Those do seem cringe af

It’s obviously a culture thing but it’s obviously also really shit and looks lame. And if I was playing football, getting humped and the opposition were doing daft dances I’d definitely be tempted to smash one of them during a tackle.

Well the dancing is way less cringe then idiotic tackles meant to injure your opponent.

Is it possible not to like Brazil as a football fan ?

Their best players are not playing but dancing on the pitch. They are smiling and partying all the time.
I just have to look at Casemiro to like the guy. You just can see he is joyful, like many Brazilians.

You have to be miserable not to like them.
Strange comment I must say.

I dont mind the dancing but never cared for them much, not to mention how they sometimes act like they're godgiven, Neymar's forced crying and so on.
Always liked Argentina more, am I miserable then?

Anyway hope they wont do much dancing on Friday.

Sure would be nice for United lads to win it but.. :D

No, they just dance. Everything after that is just a question of do they subscribe to the etiquette requirements of the white world, which they do not and rightfully feel no need to.

Everyone loves the African teams for showing their culture by dancing when scoring, but the Brazilians can't?

I loved it yesterday. Laughed out loud when even the coach joining in. Brilliant stuff. I hope they go on to win it, even if it means Neymar lifting the trophy.

Let them enjoy themselves! Isn't that what jogo bonito is all about. The stuffy pundits can get their heads out of their asses

Pretty much this. Reeks of old white men yelling at other culture's customs they dont understand.

It saddens me when I hear people talk about Richarlison dancing or doing tricks etc. in games. Have a read about the man’s life before football and you’ll realise why he tries to have fun on the pitch and enjoy the gift he’s been given.

Additionally, I would echo the old white man shouting about other cultures comment. I usually like Keane but he lets himself down with this stuff.

People are too easily triggered and offended on other people's behalf and this thread is a great example of that. The dancing is a well documented part of their football culture, it's not like they just decided to learn dance to piss everyone else off. I think it adds to the entertainment and fully hope we can see them continue to do this.

If you don't like it, be better than them. After all, they haven't won a WC since 2002 and that includes games such as the 7-1 against Germany so I think it's fully ok for them to celebrate when it comes off for them.

So, I never watched the game. Logged on to RedCafe - "Embarrassing! So disrespectful!"

Really? Really? Let the fecking guys dance
Exactly.

Christ, there are some depressing people around. Imagine having fun at the World Cup?! Some people want footballers to be complete robots. No silly tricks on the field, we want total efficiency. No extravagant celebration, maybe just a raised arm. No social media presence or off-field activities, they should train, sleep and play games. These people would find a way to hate Ronaldinho.

Why do people have a problem now? Haven’t they been doing this for decades?

Must be a sign of society changing.

for me, it wasn’t the fact they danced, it was the way danced, the circumstance of it. “a celebration of football,” “their culture,” “it’s what they do.” if that was all the case, then why didn’t they dance when korea scored? where was tite slut dropping when the ball flew by allison?

It would be funny if they also danced after conceding goals.
I'd like to see Alisson or Ederson dance after great saves. Come to think of it, I've never seen either of them do a celebratory dance on the pitch ever.

They can do it after conceding a penalty... Just to throw the kicker off.

Those same people moaning about dancing will be dancing if Brazil get knocked out by Croatia.

I would love it if a Brazilian player got sent off and then moonwalked off the pitch.

 I smile every time I see that.

I was on holiday at the time, so I was watching it in a little Spanish bar with my extended family.

Even though United were utter shite under Van Gaal and barely shot let alone scored, I knew when that twat did that silly dance that United would win.

Fancy doing that dance and then losing..

It should be encouraged. These Brazilians are living their dream, from nothing, they are playing at the WC and its all part of their culture.

Why do Europeans think their way is the right way all the time? We need to appreciate other cultures and embrace them, which is what the WC is about.

Celebrating goals and dancing is what I want to see at the WC.
