Weren't they prevented from buying Newcastle?Genuinely. If the Saudis come in, it's out of the frying pan and into the fire
Ed Woodward was the Glazers' right-hand man from the very beginning. Whatever Woodward did was in the best interests of the Glazers. If he's getting sacked, either the Glazers are completely changing their tune, or they're looking to move on from United. I'm hoping (and slightly expecting) the latter, but that's mostly because I don't know who else the Glazers would hire as the vice-chairman (unless Joel wants to run the club himself). That doesn't make any sense at all , Woodward is just a Employee not a major share holder who is cashing out which might be considered a sign at stretch but it's nothing like that .
Glazers may very well sell but Woodward resignation is certainly not a precursor to it.
Oh It's been worth it anyway. Now they have shown their hand to the world, I feel this is the beginning of the end for the Glazers here. God knows what follows though. If the glazers are to go, these last 72 hours have been worth it.
Wait what? He's against the SL and that's the reason for resigning? Surely not? That sounds like a Mourinho lineI just read that his resignation is because we signed up to the SL but thats bollox because he was one of the instigators behind the whole scheme and only last week signed the contract! Is he trying to make himself out to be a martyr? Tomartyr more like!
I just thought it was funny.
It had been rumoured for a few weeks to be fair.I don't for one second believe that he was going anyway. That's nonsense fed to journalists which I'd hope aren't foolish enough to buy.
Who is he?
Don't ciunt out any of american owners. The idea of a "NFL"-type league didn't work here and with Johnson talking about goverment involvment this could be the red line.It won't be. My guess is Inter.
Can you please tolerate 1 last big shock? (ie the Glazers selling up)So true!
In the last 12 months we have had a once in a century pandemic, Brexit, the death of Prince Philip, and now this. Please please please can 2022 just be as boring as hell as I need to stabilise a little bit????
No chance, he's got too lucrative a gig keeping his head down as FIFA prepares for its human rights massacre World Cup.Wasn't there a rumour last summer that Gill would be taking over again in 12 months? We may see him return.
He put £70mil worth of share up for sale last month. Appears to be just to raise some personal cash.Is there anyone in here who knows anything in shares that can confirm if the Glazers are selling?

Or one of the clubs already withdrawing, e.g. Chelsea.I'd say it's probably more likely to be Inter but we can hope.

https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...airman-avran-gram-to-sell-70m-worth-of-shares
"Avram Glazer’s personal stake would reduce to 10.2% if they are sold, reducing the Glazer family’s ownership from 78% to 74.9%"
So barely makes a dent in Glazer ownership, and it doesn't appear he's got buyers yet for it all.
Just seen a Tweet up thread (I don't do Twitter) saying apparently he's resigned early to prevent it being leaked.Have to say I flagged this going wrong for them. Now consider this - Woody was JP Morgan’s man - the Glazer seventh child and guru of “soccer”. Morgan’s rep on the line - big share damage done - invisible pain for rich people. Overplayed their hand. Could mean big boardroom upheaval.
could things be changing? Between what Ole is doing on the pitch if the Glazers do sell up now this could be the start of somethingTweet

then they should sell.Glazers are apparently punishing us for our insolence. Won't spend any money in upcoming window(s)?
No I'm done for a while now mate. Martians can land tomorrow and I wouldn't lift my head up from the cereal bowl. Can you please tolerate 1 last big shock? (ie the Glazers selling up)
Please stop posting.

It was more on how the deal was being brokered not that they were Saudis.Weren't they prevented from buying Newcastle?
When the price spiked, he made a shit load of money out of it... Well, at least one is gone!Apparently Avram Glazer has sold all of his shares.
Oh of course he was absolutely complicit. This has scapegoat written all over it though, ignoring the fact he had been far from successful in running the club as CEO.I agree with you a little, but he stands for them, and has stood by them. Whether he's sacrificing himself or being pushed or whatever, it doesn't matter, he was still complicit, depsite being an employee technically.
And in all seriousness, he's been universally shite and shirt sponsor logos.
It won't be us (I desperately hope I'm wrong!)Tweet

Fingers crossed the Glazers feck themselves off
Are you guys high? Glazers won’t find a buyer in the middle of a pandemic. They are businessmen and will only sell at the highest possible price - not when the whole world is in economic instability.. thats obvious.
