120 hours in, I'm level 48 now and just reached 90 in archery last night. Even giants and draugr deathlords get one-shotted. Got my 5th mask as well. Will probably be done with this about April.

Good work on the archery.

How've you managed to level up that highly? I love using a bow, but it seems to be taking an age to level up.

I'm a level 42 (i think not played in a week :() after 60ish hours, but my archery stats could do with improving somewhat.

Any tips?

I just use it for everything. I started off using magic and archery but soon decided I liked archery better, so I just specialised. If you want to level it up I suppose you could use trainers or just shoot every animal you see in the wild. That isnt how I did it, but it's another tactic. I also sneak 100% of the time in dungeons and my sneak is 89.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be patched to 1.4 this month, with Bethesda claiming the update will finally fix the lag issue that has plagued the PS3 version of the game.

Responding to a question about when the PS3 lag will be fixed, a post on the Bethesda Blog Twitter account said: "We're addressing that in the 1.4 update planned for this month."

We first reported on the crippling PS3 bug back in November 2011 after users on the Bethesda forum began flagging up the problem and OPM UK editor Tim Clark also began having issues.

A patch released at the end of November seemingly fixed the stuttering issue, but the bug reared its head again soon after.

Hopefully then, the developer has finally figured out how to fix it and patch 1.4 will be the end of the issue.

I found an easy way to increase sneak to 100 very quickly with the Greybeards if you're interested?

Some may call it cheating, but I just see it as intensive training...

I already know about it, thanks anyway. I like to just do my own thing in these sandbox games, so I don't go for loopholes like the smithing/enchanting one where you just make daggers and enchant them. Both my smithing and enchanting are 100, but that's just from looting dungeons, going to Dragonreach, enchanting the loot, going to Warmaiden's to improve the stuff, then flogging it. All my skills are at the level they're at coz that's what I've used.

As an archer, the perks you get allow you to slow down time and draw your bow quicker. If you have the Slow Time shout as well, then you can pretty much twat everyone from a distance before they can do you any harm, even if there's multiple enemies. I rarely get a chance to use my one-handed or destruction skills coz nobody gets near me.

There's this orphanage in Riften where there's this bitch who mistreats the children... I saved and tried my luck killing her. The children were rejoicing and being morbid as feck after

"So much change from killing one person... I marvel at the possibilities!"

I've screwed you up, little girl :(

No bounty, though.

You know what? I love the scope of this game and indeed this series. The different races and region of Tamriel... the size and depth of it all is quite staggering, especially considering they came up with the world 10+ years ago when they were doing Arena (I think?!)

Has anyone tried to keep check on what date it is in their game?? I remember reading somewhere that shops will sell things half price on certain holidays??

Still have done barely anything on the main quest... I'm all about side missions/civil-war quests, as I find the Civil-War stuff far more interesting then the Dragonborn stuff. Wierdly, I think this game has given me a real life, irrational hatred for Stormcloaks...

Screw you, I'm with the Stormcloaks!

The size of the game really is incredible. There's always something to see or do, and when the next village is 30 minutes away you know you're in an epic game.

You bastard!... My opinion of you has been unequivocally changed forever. Killing innocent lives just to worship a man-god... you should be ashamed!

Also, the Stormcloakes are too Nord-centric... Skyrim should be for everyone!

Just imagine how big this will get on the next console, which will probably be the next game actually... might well take place over two regions as opposed to just one!

This is getting a bit tedious now. All this having to go through murky dungeons and beat up people that aren't as dead as they're supposed to be. Why can't somebody give me a quest that involves me going to a nice hotel somewhere sunny to pick up their pet kitten?

You've honestly not noticed it? Go around Whiterun and speak to some guards, eventually you'll get one that sounds really like him!

I'm trying to find a video of it now on Youtube...
oh dear... I was being sarcastic...

You need a sarcasm detector, you failed to spot it when I was making crabs out to be a respectable foe as well

Now now... tone is hard to read from text. And the Schwarzenegger accent is near-ubiquitous... It's strange that you haven't encountered it way earlier, and from a bunch of people in a bunch of towns and cities.

I noticed it a long time earlier, it's the first time I've ever thought to mention it in here.

Tone is hard to read from text... yes, which is why he didn't need to be so patronising that I didn't catch onto his sarcasm isn't it!

Urbanned would have known why... :(
I somehow doubt he would have!

No I got it then

But why should I be able to get sarcasm over something I've clearly just found out? There was no need for him to be rude about it!

hrhhhmmmm... something's not right here ;P

Sure, but it also might mean he didn't mean it in any disrespectful way.

Whatever... To me it just seems like you're trying to have it both ways, though... First you're like "you ever notice...?", then you go "SERIOUSLY?! you can just go talk to any guard here and there!"

You gotta expect people to take a pop at ya ;)

Any idea on when the 1st DLC will be?

I completely conquered Skyrim, pretty much leaving me with nothing significant to do. I even got the platinum trophy.

The last time I played it I lost my follower who was carrying my dragon armour and Molag MAce thing. It saddened me into quitting it for good.
