Eric should have demanded first team football, and when those assurances would obviously not be given, he can reject the contact and look else where.

I just don’t see who would pay decent money for him be lucky to get 10-15 mil, he could be useful to use in part exchange for a replacement I guess but his wages are gonna be an issue for anyone interested.
I don’t dislike Bailly and he’s been unfortunate with injuries but if he was so desperate to play regular why bother signing a new deal, he’s never gonna dislodge Maguire and it’s clear Ole prefers Lindelof and by all accounts wants another centre back. Axel was head and shoulders above him in the final game against Wolves. If Ole is talking about in form players in the final few games, Bailly isn’t one of them.

It´s better to have a solid income than having to be all over looking for a job.
His injury record is terrible and he would not cash in half of what Utd were willing.

I doubt it's his decision to release it now. For all we know the interview was conducted a week or two ago. I have only seen the quotes so if there is more information I could be wrong. Would be very much like the media to put out this type of stuff before a final to get maximum interest.

By far the most physically gifted and bravest defender we've got. I wonder if we had better management, trainers and coaches, he'd have stayed more fit and would be making better decisions. The contrast in his speed, strength, testicular fortitude, etc,.... over Lindelof and Maguire is clear. I'm guessing that he'll do a lot better in an organization run by actual footballers. I hope we win tomorrow but top four and Thursday football isn't good enough. We'll never win the Premiership or the Champion's league with Victor, Harry, Scoobie and Fred. Glazer's out! Eddie out!
