Mino runs his mouth off a lot (though been quiet for a while now). Ole doesn't seem to be particularly phased by it. There was one situation especially where Mino went too far, where it's believed he was likely told by Paul himself to cool it down because Mino ended up almost apologizing in the media a few days later. Ever since then he's been really quiet about United. (Though he will give a generic response if asked directly about us/Pogba. He can't ignore questions.)I recall Ole talking about Alfie in a recent interview when they asked him about Haaland (Erling) and he explained how Erling has some of his dad’s serious qualities and that ever since he brought him on as a teenager it was clear that he would be something special. I got the impression that Ole is still hopeful of signing him after that interview. And like I already said if we have any hope of signing him it’s because of ole’s rapport with him. But still I would be a lot more optimistic if he had a different agent...Didn’t he come out to criticize Ole at some point because of the pogba situation? (Mina that is)
I think Ole has the impression that we are in with a good shout to sign Haaland when he moves next summer. But it depends on us delivering on our end by getting the right signings this summer (so he can feel like the final piece of the puzzle next summer), and showing continued progress this coming season. No struggling to make top 4. Haaland's goal is likely to become the top goalscorer of all time in Champions League.
So it's going to be important to him that there's a low risk of missing out for a season.
Might even demand a buyout clause that becomes active if his team fails to qualify
(My guess is his current contract with Dortmund has/had that since they so nonchalantly talked to clubs about a possible transfer when CL looked unlikely for Dortmund).
