Goal line tech to be used for first time: here

Liverpool stat: Manager Jurgen Klopp has reached six cup finals in the last four years. He has won one and lost four of them so far.
Sevilla stat: Sevilla have won the Europa League the last two seasons under manager Unai Emery.

Booooo and so on and so forth.

Can't even begin to imagine the amount of shit we'll be getting next season with Arsenal, City and Liverpool in the Champions League along with Spurs and Leicester while we're fecking around in the Europa League

Lets hope Sevilla can somehow stop the inevitable Scouse win :(

Sevilla are a little overrated, good tournament side as their Europa history shows but Manchester City took them apart.

Liverpool will do the same.

Liverpool have been taken apart plenty of times this season by sides worse than Sevilla.

Wait, they won Europa twice in a row but are overrated based on one game?

Less so recently, and only when they have a lapse in concentration or play a vastly weakened side, not usually in the biggest games.

Wait, they won Europa twice in a row but are overrated based on one game?
Also based on a Champions League group stage exit and 7th place La Liga finish.

Surely after the Dortmund and Villarreal comeback the narrative gods will decide for Liverpool? :(

I want Sevilla to win it for the one reason only: It's pathetic if a side was to win it thanks to UEFA's relaxed anti-doping rules and incompetent handling of investigating samples and communicating positives results to clubs.

Liverpool winning this and qualifying for Champions League will be salt to the wounds.

Come on Sevilla!

2-1 win to Sevilla with extra-time is my prediction.

It's going to be a night for avoiding all forms of social media I'm afraid lads. Sevilla may be in the final again but they're not the team they were each time before. Regulation Liverpool win.

Surely Klopp can't lose 5 finals in a row ? I think it's Liverpool's trophy this year. Ever since that comeback win against Dortmund, it just feels inevitable that they find a way to win it, no matter if it's deserved or not.

It's true Sevilla are not as good as last season but really its not so bad finishing 3rd in a CL group consisting of the current semi finalists and last years finalists. They would have qualified from most other groups. I think Liverpool have been the best team in the competition and should beat Sevilla.

Finishing 3rd to Juventus and City isn't much of a shame. Liverpool may be favourites but Sevilla isn't some minnows waiting to be torn apart. I think it will be a close game.

Just need Sevilla to win this and United to win on Saturday to give a decent finish to a largely disappointing season, to put it quite euphemistically.

Feck it, lumping £50 on Liverpool to soften the blow if they do win!

Imagine the players dippers will be able to attract with CL football next season.

Hopefully there is some sort of justice in this world and that the team that cheated their way to the final by fielding a drug addict don't get their hands on the trophy.

Everyone seems to predicting a walkover- 8th in Spain against 8th in England. Sevilla are a specialist cup team and although i think Liverpool will knick it i do not think they will steam roll them. Be brilliant if the scousers lost.

Oh, they'll (Liverpool) win it. It's absolutely guaranteed. I can feel it coming miles away, unfortunately.

It's funny that now Liverpool are in the final this is being touted as "major European honours"..

Funny their fans are laughing at us for playing on Thursday's nights next year, yet they're salivating over the final tonight of that very same competition.

I hate watching us in any final. It's always horrible to watch and we usually have to come from a goal down or put in a rubbish performance.

I think we can win it but it's a final so it's anyone's game.

Considering the winner gets automatic CL football next year, this final is a huge game.

They pretty much erase their turd domestic season with one victory tonight. Feck, I wish we weren't so shit - it could've been us.

The trophy isn't major honours though. It's the CL carrot yet again.

Next season they go to Barca, we go to Iceland. Depressing.

Twigginater will be leaping with joy and telling us about Premier League supremacy if Liverpool win.

Funny how quickly things can turn around for everyone.

If Liverpool win this, they could be the nr. 1 destination for players who want to come to EPL.

The turmoil from this season shows that there are no favorites for the next one. Even summer signings don't mean much at this point (everyone thought City will win the league when they signed De Bruyne in the summer, and all they won was the goals scored stat).
Mourinho's stock is low.
Guardiolas's stock has also taken a toll after the spanking in CL last 3 seasons.
Conte is irrelevant and there's no CL for Chelsea.
Spurs are irrelevant for this discussion.
Klopp is the man and with added CL, players will want to play for him.

Agreed, and because it's Liverpool.

Think they will win it mind.

Liverpool will probably smash them. Wouldn't expect anything else given most of them are probably drugged up by Klopp.

Not sure they'd be the number 1 destination due to the area (think both City and Arsenal would be more 'attractive') but it'd make them more attractive to players.

8th in the PL against the 7th in La Liga. What a spectacle...

I'm not sure I'll even watch this. It doesn't excite me at all.
