Why did riccardo end up retiring? further issues from the first lap, or other issues?

This fastest lap thing aint bad, its like a Q3 at the end of the race.

Couldn't have had a worse start Ferrari.

Thought Ferrari would have a better challenge today.

Hamilton pitting too early sort of masks the dominance of Mercedes here, that was easy.

Agreed. Some extra fun for the last 10 laps of a race.

Bottas with the 'I want 26 points' and boy did he get it. Flawless drive.

Guess the only potential bright side to take from this, is Bottas may actually put some sort of challenge forward if the Mercedes is comfortably the better car at other tracks as well.

Shocking race though has to be said, they went on about the more powerful DRS yet nothing really happened unless the tyres fell off a cliff. Race track Ofcourse plays a big part in it but it wasn’t a great start.

Thank God Bottas is stepping up - seems like we might be in for a pretty dull season up top otherwise. Redbull look like they might be decent but Ferrari almost a full minute behind, wow.

Lesson learned, never do winter testing from next season onwards, might heartbreak Ferrari's fans worldwide.

Its all a load of shit. They use to crap on about it back in the mid 2000's that we'll decrease the drag by banning xyz, but the reality is, they claw most of it back by season start and you'll still get the same dirty air getting thrown up behind the cars. Its a complete load of bollocks and always will be. If anything they need to return refuelling and Pirelli need to work on the tyres to not drop off a cliff, but loose performance quicker.

Also Ferrari were muppets for not bringing Vettel in. They had the perfect opportunity to stick soft rubber back on the car and take a gamble on a safety car towards the end of the race but played it safe. Even Mark Webber was urging them to do something along those lines in the comm box.

Only the first race and they're already so conservative with their strategies.

The pressure is really mounting on them.
