Fantasy Premier League 21/22

My draft mate has Chilwell on bench and also has KDB on bench. Has Lukaku and Ronaldo though :D
I could have laughed, but except Son, no one did well for me. Better than his situation though.

Me and my mate will have ended on the same points total 3 weeks in a row. We only have four identical players in our squad.

So 42 (38 when you consider the hit I took) and this is one of my worst weeks playing FPL.

Glad I initiated the WC.

A mass culling will be taking place.

Salah captainers dancing.

Yeah that is true.

About 1/3 of my points are Salah.Hope a few donuts don't have him :)

I think I press on with the wildcard, and try and get 1 City defender and 2 Chelsea. Though no Christensen playing yesterday complicates that a bit.

I'm going with Rudi Dias and TAA. Don't need headaches.

I think i'm going to explore the Ronaldo-Lukaku-Antonio front 3.
Have 2 weeks to push the button for sure, so I'll just get on any risers for now.

Definite no for me for that front three. I'd rather have someone like Son in midfield.

Ronaldo is a worry. We don't create much for him. However, it is Ronaldo.

You could get that front 3, 3 big hitters in defence, with playing good option other 2, Salah, and 3 budget mids who have started well, ie Gray, Smith-Rowe, Raphinha.

I'll weigh it up.

No TAA is the big loss in the big front 3.

Ronaldo to Jiminez for example, opens up about 4milllion to have TAA back, and beef up one of the above mids.

Exactly. I've seen a lot of drafts with Salah + budget mids and I don't really like them. Especially when there are good alternatives for the striker spot.

39 points all out.

Wildcard already activated and initial changes have been made.

33. Dreadful week, but I may scrape staying top in my league!

Critical wildcard now.

Big hitter front 3 option... (need to trim 0.1m off to get this)

Sanchez Foster
Rudiger Cancelo Christensen White Livramento
Salah Raphinha Gray Smith Rowe Luiz
Ronaldo Lukaku Antonio

TAA alternative, has TAA instead of Christensen, Jimi instead of Ronaldo, and 2.5m to add. Which is sort of no man's land, as there's not really a stand out in the 7-8m midfielder arena, now Greenwood and Pogba have dropped off. City a lot of options but none constantly reliable. Maybe Foden if he's going to have this many chances regularly.

WC rewards:
Cancelo 0
Alonso 0
Ronaldo 2

37 all out. My Uni League leader is having an absolute mental seaon, 25th OR with 535 points!

So best Jota replacements? Foden?

Cancelo looks the only definite riser tonight.

Might set the wildcard rolling and make sure he's in there.
And bin Greenwood and Coufal who both look good chance of dropping.

Think you're overly determined to have Ronaldo.

In nine games against the top 5 serie A sides last season he blanked in six, scoring two open play goals and one penalty, making him more of a flat-track bully than even Lukaku that season. He now faces Leicester, Liverpool, Spurs, City, Chelsea and Arsenal in his next 7 games. While playing for a team not exactly in peak form. Under a manager who has typically been very conservative in big games. And he's the most expensive player in FPL. How much of a return on value are you actually expecting with all that considered?

To me he's an easy drop on your wildcard. Sure he'll get goals, but not near enough to justify 12.5m of your budget when other cheaper players will be returning points too.
