For us:
£50m to match training
£35m to match youth
£225m to have a better stadium than you.

For you
It will cost you £50m to match our coaching and recruitment (the more important ones for youth development). You’ll have higher wage costs and operational costs meaning the loss in budget early on on purchasing means less initial money available to invest sustainably elsewhere.

Plus you’re now owner of Sunderland, BTEC Newcastle.

Our club has a rich history and me and @The Cat never even wanted Sunderland we just wanted you to pay more.
Who cares, you said yourself it is a 10 year experiment. I'd be surprised if you make it to mid table PL in that time.

I’d genuinely rather go for two promotions to the PL in 10 seasons and see if we can get a European spot too.

I'd expect the League 1 sides to be in the PL within 5 seasons, maybe 3 or 4 with good business and the Championship sides to do it within 2.

Obviously depends how badly the AI fecks with our money.

If we reach 10 seasons and everyone still has the energy we'll continue. Just thought it sensible to set a timeline as they usually fade out otherwise.

I've figured out how to make a shortlist based on the CA range you all have. So I will do that and send you all the top 10 of your range based on transfer value.

Remember you would still have to pay the median of that transfer value plus their wages.

I also think there should be a set budget to use each window, so that we could potentially hand pick 2 or 3 players.

In three seasons you could hand-pick a world class spine. I think 1 is good. Your manager will make other signings for you.

Ok let's begin!

As if the Taylor Swift stuff wasn't bad enough, Samid has buggered off for this so I won't be continuing with Ipswich unless he lets me know he wants back in.

So four clubs have been taken over.

Sheffield Utd - @BD & @sebsheep
Sunderland - @altodevil
Derby - @The Cat & @BenitoSTARR
Bolton - @SilentWitness

There have been some big injections of cash already. First some manager news!

Some major player transfers:

We don't need no big budget to do bits, just a wee Scot and an Angolan.

How can they have 50m transfer budgets but a club balance of 1/10th of that?

Are we relying on AI to sign players to new contracts and stuff btw?

I wasn't sure how to math it. Should I be adding any injected wage/transfer money to the balance?
I'm not sure how it works really, but in my head if your club balance is 7m and then you spend 50m of that transfer budget you're going to be in the shit quite quickly.

Ok I've just added what was added to transfer budgets to the balance, as technically it gets drawn from that anyway so it's not extra.

Nice one. Shouldn't have said anything and let everyone plummet. :p

Yeah maybe that's why the weren't spending anything. Financially prudent managers and financially unsound owners.

I forgot about Estevao, but I was looking for someone to make an immediate impact. I don't think we have especially high odds for promotion, but PL money is needed.

In December I'd like to increase my transfer budget to 10m, wage budget to 300k and club balance to 20m please. :)

Me too in regards to impact. I was always scared that the AI would spend a massive budget on League 1 crap that I'd need to get rid of in a season or two.

Ok, it's December. Let's see how good these decisions you made as owners were.

Notable sackings/hirings

Valerien Ismael sacked by Watford
Ten Hag sacked by Man Utd
Man Utd hire Conte
Hodgson sacked by Palace
Silva sacked by Fulham
Rohl sacked by Sheffield Weds
Eustace sacked by Blackburn
De Zerbi sacked by Brighton
Dyche sacked by Everton

Let me know if you want to see anything else.

If not lemme know if you wanna either:
  • Sack the manager & hire a new one.
  • Inject any funds into the transfer/wage budget.
  • Take money out of the club bank balance (to add back to your personal one)

Super, thanks Solius. Happy to go ahead with the changes I mentioned and nothing else.
