Wish he could have signed for us but good to see him back in the PL. If he can stay fit, this could propel Spurs into the top four straightaway. If.

I'd fecking stay there if I was Bale. No way I'd take a pay cut. feck them.
He's won it all and has nothing to prove.
Really? He's severely ruined/hampered his career at the cost of getting a shitload of money. If money is his primary objective then fair enough but if it was standing in the game, he's done it to himself imo

Thank feck he's not joining us.
I'm glad the board finally learned their lesson of not signing washed up players.

"What I would do to be 32 again and play football"

This is what will keep him up at night when he is 50 and having more money than he can ever spend.

Spurs are clearly desperate but to be fair Son - Kane - Bale is a great front 3 on paper, if they manage to stay fit.
when fit, it will do serious damage.

I also dont want Bale, but part of me is concerned that he will become a worldie again and we missed out.

Odd one. Don't want him here but don't want him at Spurs either in case he tears it up again.

I feel the same

I complained about getting linked to him but now I feel a bit jealous

Lack of investment in the squad is making me jealous of Tottenhams transfers

A 5 year contract at £250k a week for an injury ravaged 32 year old is absolutely fecking bonkers.

I like this story. Didn’t want him at United based on our history of signing players of that age plus he had opportunities to sign for us in his prime. However I hope he does well for Spurs. Loved him when he was there before.

Under a tree.
The fact that people keep on talking about a 5 year contract which was a wum shows their mindset and how easy manipulated they are.
Its the same thing about how the Spanish media have manipulated people over the golf thing and how that has grown.

Its astonishing isn't, how fast fake news travel. On other hand, it would be funny to see if we could spread this non-threatening fake news and see how far it could spread to the Caf.

Jose will view him as a Danny Rose replacement and will tell him he has to defend regardless.

This will be very interesting. He’s come across as someone who really isn’t that interested in playing football so could be awful, but could end up proving me wrong.

Good signing for spurs.

Kane, son, Lucas and bale > Rashford, martial, greenwood, James by a country mile!

Seriously? Kane has looked off form for over a year, and Bale has looked shot for 2 years. There's no way I'd swap their four for ours (though I'd like to upgrade James asap)

Vardy won the golden boot with 23 goals and Kane scored 18 in the PL last season while playing 445 minutes less, he also still scored more than Martial and Rashford.

I like Son a lot, and would be my first choice backup backup, but my main front three would be:

Martial Kane Bale

Iam happy for Bale to be back playing football. He was disrespected by Madrid. However, I can't help the feeling that this second coming at Spurs will end in tears. His injury record and his manager being Mourinho means it will be a challenging adventure.

This is not me being bitter, but I'm genuinely happy we did not get involved with even trying to get Bale.

Bale on his day was world class. There is absolutely no way I see him reaching those levels again. Not with having had so little football the last couple of years. He is past his peak and does not have that explosive pace that was his key asset anymore. It is a risk worth taking for Spurs because they've looked pretty dire attacking wise. But I certainly don't expect him to be a worldie at Spurs. Son will perform better than Bale will.
