Should stop tossing himself off to City and point out their corruption
Him and Scholes do it to the point of going completely anti-United, can't listen to either of them anymore.Literally cannot stand Neville commentating on United games.
I love his punditry, and love his interviews, Overlap etc. But get him off commentating United games. His attempts to hide his United bias by going far too far the other way, are just flat out annoying and ruin the game for me.
Used to think he got some unnecessary flack on here but he's become a rather irritating cnut.
Got an opinion on everything, if two people were arguing over the last loaf of bread in the supermarket he'd get involved and would have his say on it.
So after years of laying into certain players, Neville and Carragher have found the ability to reflect on their criticism of players and the impact it has on the individuals and their families due to the recent criticism of Harry Maguire. It’s hard to take this seriously considering the way they’ve treated players in the past, particularly Neville.
You’d think Maguire was the first player to be scrutinised in this manner.
Took you this long to notice? He's a cnut of the highest order. Loves his own voice too so will put out any over the top comment to get people talking. I agree with that German poster who said he's one of the biggest source of toxicity within the fanbase.Used to think he got some unnecessary flack on here but he's become a rather irritating cnut.

Has to stop doing United games, most annoying.
Never been a fan of having pundits on commentary.
Mind you I do like Neville and he gets a lot of unfair criticism for voicing opinions.
I get where he’s coming from with the Qatar thing but I can’t wrap my head around him thinking football can force regimes to change.
Shows what a prick he is considering the abuse he gave of Pogba,Martial and Lukaku week in week out. Yet he only feels bad about Maguire
I agree with this. I find him interesting to listen to because he is very opinionated and passionate. Sometimes I agree with him, on other occasions he makes me cringe. Think he would be a jumped up intolerable little shit, away from the screen. Hell, he often comes across that way on screen!I actually think he’s a lot like Piers Morgan. He’s always got to have a big opinion on something one way or the other and seems to make it up as he goes along. Then at some point in the future contradicts himself because he’s got such a massive view on everything without any sort of structure that it’d be impossible not to. I think he’s a thoroughly dislikable person.

Then again it's also kind of odd to expect people who did not much more than play football in their lives to be excellent political scientists or guides of nations.Again and again he's been defending his mates and clutching at straws in order to avoid difficult questions. I wouldn't even mind it as it's quite natural and humane to prioritise friendships and money over being objective, but then again if you're a hypocritical feck you probably shouldn't try to present yourself as the champion of the working class, defender of the high standards and pretend you're in a position to be asked about "fixing football".
Enjoyed HITC Sevens video on him today. What a prick.

I guess anybody can say anything, everybody has a little Bill Maher inside. But us judging them for that shit and expecting children or people with the life experience of always getting what you want and then retire from that lifestyle at 35 to guide us to a more ethical world cup is a little unfair. The greedy sons of even older people should deserve more scrutiny for knowing what they're doing and still choosing money over ethics. Most people would and people are better at judging other people's greed than their own, but alas and yadda yadda yadda.Well, he should shut the feck up then, if he doesn't know what he's talking about. He's just the sort of clueless, opinionated twat they shove on Question Time as the 'celebrity' guest panelist who talks bollocks all the way through despite having no actual experience of normal life.
Like their opinion counts.

If his prescence on QT generates interest then thats his purpose served. Personally I'd like much more informed social and political discussion on TV but this is as much as we can hope for just now, getting people to engage.
If you're just going to express a personal opinion, then anyone can do that. They could just as well get anyone from the audience to come on the panel. They had Brian Cox on Thursday night and he was just giving his own opinion on things which he knew nothing about and has no personal experience of.
Come to think of it, that sounds a bit like a certain internet forum we both frequent.
Yeah I totally get you on the merits of what they are actually saying, but if their celebrity gets people to tune in then that's better than nothing. There are lots of in-depth political podcasts and the like an nobody tunes in.
Piers Morgan was on the panel on Thursday, I think he's enough to get people tuning in. Brian Cox adds nothing to the debate. Not that Piers Morgan adds a great deal, but at least, whether you agree with him or not (invariably not) at least he's got some experience of talking to people who have half a clue about stuff.
Morgan has experience in shameless self promotion. While his position during covid was remarkable, I will tip my hat to him there.
Back to Neville, I see no excuse in working for Qatar, taking sponsorship from a betting company then acting all high & mighty when talking about deceny and morals in football ownership.
He's got some cracking insight on the actual game but I draw the line at his authoritive tone when spouting nonsense.
As for his politics, I personally welcome public figures stating their position but let's all be clear. He's no champion of the people, he's a centrist, which is to say, he's economically right wing (and therefore a right wing enabler) but with more socially liberal views.
