Definitely. Lampard and co making some solid plays, over there.I would say that is a very smart way to rebuild a strong squad.

There were some rumblings that Roman is scaling back a bit and Frank was disappointed with what was available in January.Yep, this means Sancho is too expensive for us.
Considering he can't even get a visa to be in the country anymore i'm not surprised. There were some rumblings that Roman is scaling back a bit and Frank was disappointed with what was available in January.
it's nonsense. There was a substantial amount of money there to spend, should we have found the right players. I think that was clear. After 2 weeks or so there was talk we were focusing on the summer, aswell. Abramovich put 250m into the club last season. A quarter of a billion. Talk of him losing interest is rubbishThere were some rumblings that Roman is scaling back a bit and Frank was disappointed with what was available in January.
Ffs my number one target since 1 year ago. Great buy for them
Does seem a bit ridiculous but I think he will have a release clause. It seems that teams found him "too risky" and he didn't match up well on the data charts - similarly to Bruno Fernandes I guess. How the hell are they getting him so cheap? £38m. If we came in, Ajax would probably treble the price!!
If Bruno's deal in total reaches nearly £80m in add-ons, its actually crazy Chelsea are getting a quality player for only £38m, risky or not that's an absolute steal. We paid upto double this for absolute garbage players in the last 7 years.Does seem a bit ridiculous but I think he will have a release clause. No, it's not because of a clause. Ajax does this more often. When a player gets the chance to sign for another club, Ajax will up their contract with the promise not to play hardball the year after that. And they keep that promise. How the hell are they getting him so cheap? £38m. If we came in, Ajax would probably treble the price!!

Press will probably use max (with add one) figure for United buys like they continue to do for Pogba (and Fernandes' is unlikely to be reached) while using base fees for other clubs. If Bruno's deal in total reaches nearly £80m in add-ons, its actually crazy Chelsea are getting a quality player for only £38m, risky or not that's an absolute steal. That's very ethical if true, probably the only club in Europe who would do that. No, it's not because of a clause. Ajax does this more often. I'd take him in a heartbeat for this team. James, JLingz, Mata aren't going to perform any better out wide than this guy, no matter how badly he flops. One of the most guaranteed PL flops I've ever seen. Save this post.
Why do you say that? he's not the type that chirks away from challenges or is lazy at all.One of the most guaranteed PL flops I've ever seen. Save this post.
Agreed. One of the most guaranteed PL flops I've ever seen. Save this post.
When he signed a new contract they agreed that he could go at a reasonable priceHow the hell are they getting him so cheap? £38m. If we came in, Ajax would probably treble the price!!
This is true, the media like to exaggerate or include add-on clauses as the base price for Utd's signings. Barely saw any reports on Bruno's deal being €55m, all rambling on about the add-ons and the deal being £80m. Everyone else, it seems to be the complete opposite. Also seems like every team in Europe feel like they can take Ed for more of a ride than other CEO's/DoF's.Reports say his release clause was removed in summer contract renegotiation

It's almost like they have some agenda v us/£
I bet you if Ed came calling the price would atleast double! When he signed a new contract they agreed that he could go at a reasonable price
Just gut instinct and that has never let me down. Why do you say that? he's not the type that chirks away from challenges or is lazy at all.
I don't think we've given up on Sancho completely atall. Given Zyiech's versatility he could be our RW if we fail to get Jadon or drift into the centre of midfield if we do, eases the pressure to sign Sancho a little.I would have liked him for us, but it allows us free reign over Sancho in the summer.
Although De Ligt and De Jong went for shit loads you'll more likely find more reasonable prices in weaker leagues.£38m really is a joke when you consider we've paid £130m on Maguire and AWB. Charge us English tax & United tax. Feck these cnuts.
It really is incredible that Chelsea move so quick in comparison to other teams. The most admirable part about this is that they've seemingly sealed a deal for summer transfer window in February! Meanwhile we will low-ball BVB all summer then pretty much wait till deadline day to may or may not get Sancho.
Chelsea have a great structure at the club level. They have been consistently in title race for last two decades for a reason. Posters here like to simplify it to either "oil-money" or "corruption" but their transfer dealings in or out are always on point. They've spent lesser money on Ziyech in 2020 than they received for Oscar in 2016...It really is incredible that Chelsea move so quick in comparison to other teams.
It's similar to us when talking about Grealish or Maddision. Honestly, I'm a bit tired of having or seeing players who are only comfortable playing one specific position in one specific formation on these teams. In the past, you could make the argument that Beckham and Pires were attacking midfielders, but they were willing and talented to play on the flanks to help their teams, Pires even played on the right sometimes and it did not affect his ability to perform.I don't think we've given up on Sancho completely atall. Given Zyiech's versatility he could be our RW if we fail to get Jadon or drift into the centre of midfield if we do, eases the pressure to sign Sancho a little.
This has massive potential to backfire. He looks like a guy that will flop considering his age and experience in top level football, but if you look at Mahrez...One of the most guaranteed PL flops I've ever seen. Save this post.
