I don’t even mean with Levy, I mean as a professional wanting to win something. It’s the easiest option and the one with the least pressure. That can be attractive to some personality types and I think Kane has proven that he lacks ambition by staying at Spurs so long. He just wants a trophy and this is easily the best option to do that.

Winning the PL isn’t open to him anymore. We are United supporters so we like to think otherwise, but it’s unlikely anywhere else but at City. He isn’t choosing the Bundesliga over the PL, he is choosing the guaranteed option.
No pressure at Bayern...
At many clubs it is okay to lose a match - not in Munich. And even if you win you should do that in a convincing way...

Else the media, newspapers, podcasts, fans will start to rotate. The whole focus of the sports media in Germany is on Bayern.
They will start to count minutes without goal when Kane will not score in two matches...

It’s not the same kind of pressure and there are no doubts that he will score goals. There is no competition for the title. That makes a massive difference.

That’s not even to mention the fact that he is going at the perfect time, when they need help and are crying out for a proper striker. Everything is in his favor.

Replacing Benzema at Real would have a whole different kind of pressure and no guarantees when it comes to the title.

I can't help but feel Spurs have really bungled this. By haggling and posturing for so long, they're either going to lose him in the last weeks of the window and have to panic-buy a replacement, or pretty much guarantee losing him on a free. Levy's pride really got to him this time around.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Vlahovic come in and replace him, they could even go for a different style forward in Kolo-Muani

Maybe Kane is looking across the pond at the way mbappe situation is turning out. It's quite clear that he is set in Madrid and wants to stick it out so that he can move on a free in an years time. Perhaps Kane is playing it smart and will look at us, maybe even Chelsea as options next year where he can still get his 500k/pw salary and not move countries with his young family.

His minimum 100 million free and massive wages will be quite a task, even for bayern and I'm sure they would be thinking it many times over.

He can even come back in 3-4 years and break Shearer's record (he's 48 goals away) as you'd expect Kane to still be fit and good enough striker at 33/34 years old.
I wouldn't put money on a 33 or 34 year old Kane still having 3 seasons left, let alone averaging 16 league goals a season!

They already have Richarlison who arguably suits Postecoglou's style better than Kane

His best form at Everton was always wide left with DCL through the middle.

In previous years when Kane has been injured they've just moved Son to CF and generally results and output have stayed the same but my feeling is Son has lost half a yard of acceleration and he can't drop deep to link play like Kane can.

They'll have to buy another CF. Plan two years ago was to get in Lauturo Martinez if Kane to Man. City had actually happened. Little chance of that now with no european football to offer.

It is simply a different kind of pressure at Bayern. If they don't win league and cup and make the semis of the CL the season is almost deemed a failure.

Madrid doesn't give a feck about La Liga. He could score zero goals in the La Liga and score 15 goals in the CL and he would be determined a success

The league is a given though, that’s a massive factor for someone wanting guaranteed trophies. The pressure is there, but for the most part, the targets are extremely achievable every single season.

Young Harry probably does though. If Bayern really is his priority, I can understand why. Winning is a very attractive proposition.

People need to let it go. He isn't coming to us, he hasn't made a fuss or anything. Just let him go to Bayern already so we can forget about him

It’s a bit of a sickener knowing we’ve probably overpaid for a kid with potential all whilst Bayern have a chance to sign one of the very best strikers in world football for a decent price purely on the basis that they don’t play in the premier league.

The saga not close to being completed. The sell back to Spurs clause though is funny. Spurs is selling on their own terms, Bayern should be able to anyone on their own terms

We were gonna get bent over for either Kane or Hojlund (or anyone). We took the cheaper route.

No one in the premier league was gonna get Kane for less than 100m+.

I guess it really depends on Kane digging his heels in and refusing to sign a contract extension... that diminishes our prospects considerably

You have signed from Spurs in the past, it would be hard but not impossible and Kane was the type to break the English record for. He is England captain and a genuine top class striker when there is a severe drought of talent in that position
The distant past yeah, 15 years ago is the most recent signing we've made from Spurs. Very different world now.

Levy is an utter nightmare to deal with as I'm sure you're about to find out in the next month.

Levy is shit at this. Really, really, shit.
Seeing a rival pick up his player gets to him so much it has to be a complex at this stage. A buy back option for someone who will probably be 33 or above is insane
