If you mean the Wickerman, yes there is a re make DONT WATCH IT , N Cage's worst film by a long way, it is truly a dreadful film, the original is amazing.Going to try the 1970s Wickerman in a moment and have added the Borderlands to the list as well
Has anyone seen children of the corn if so is it good? On the list above it says theres a remake is that good?
I have never seen it, not for any reason, just never really fancied it, now I like very gory, blood for the sake of blood films, but like a few on here the killing of actual animals stopped me.I wont watch Cannibal Holocaust because of the real animals being killed
I think you misunderstood it, it's truly a comedic masterpieceIf you mean the Wickerman, yes there is a re make DONT WATCH IT , N Cage's worst film by a long way, it is truly a dreadful film, the original is amazing.
I did not rate Children of the Corn that much, it was OK.
The DVD and Blue Ray releases have options to watch the movie with all of the animal cruelty scenes edited out.I have never seen it, not for any reason, just never really fancied it, now I like very gory, blood for the sake of blood films, but like a few on here the killing of actual animals stopped me.

Borderlands isn't a ghost film is it? Anyway, I suspect it appeals to my particular psyche. I liked it because, despite the found footage format, I can't really think of another film quite like it and the ending was horrendously visceral.Watched the original Wickerman the other night it was fairly creepy
Did the Borderlands last night, while OK I expected a little more from it I think half the problem was I'm not keen on ghost films as they usually follow the same pattern
Still looking for something that makes me truly scared- the sort where it plays on your mind leaving you looking behind doors
Supernatural films that creeped me out to at least some extent (some already mentioned):Watched the original Wickerman the other night it was fairly creepy

The only film that’s done that to me was the original Grudge, not the remake. I watched it alone pretty late when it came out, scared the living bejeezuz out of me.Still looking for something that makes me truly scared- the sort where it plays on your mind leaving you looking behind doors
I watched (and was spooked by) many Asian horrors due to watching alone. The Grudge, Ringu, Shutter, The Eye etc but I think that style of ghost had been milked so much that these films now feel very dated. The only film that’s done that to me was the original Grudge, not the remake. You’re right but that was a fecking nightmare when it first came out. I was at uni at the time so must have been about 20 years ago. Proper fresh back then.I watched (and was spooked by) many Asian horrors due to watching alone. I might try The Eye again and see if this is true...

Dark Water was good too.
Not proper horror, but the original The Vanishing may do that to you.Watched the original Wickerman the other night it was fairly creepy

Just watched Children of The Corn was enjoying it/ found it creepy up until the "true monster" was revealed. Up til then it was decent especially Isaac and Malachi in particular were creepy
Tell me more about this Nilssy
Very disturbing, hooks into the disturbed mind of a killer through inspired camera work and 80's synths.Tell me more about this Nilssy
The ending is bloody horrible. The 1988 Dutch film directed by George Sluizer.
Watched it with my cousin and when we saw the ending he said ‘they shouldn’t allow films like this to be made’.
Interesting, found it on IMDB and it's highly rated, is it in English? The 1988 Dutch film directed by George Sluizer.

Gremlins, Ghoulies, Critters... as a kid I was a sucker for those comedy-horror type of movies. As a kid in the mid-to-late 80s, I would get up between the hours of midnight and five AM on weekends to sneak into the living room to watch movies on Cinemax, HBO, and Showtime. Mostly comedic T&A flicks, the occasional softcore porn those channels had, sometimes to see a horror flick that caught my attention. I can recall quite a few movie titles but one flick that I vividly recall was Spasms, another was Curse II.
USA channel would show tons of B movie flicks back then, often vampire genre and slasher flicks.
Yes and hell no.Has anyone seen Us and is it as good as Get Out ?
Just watched Get Out and it was a really well made horror film that i didn't think was possible in modern times.
One of the American remakes is ok...Not a film per se, but Ju-On: Origins series is coming out on Netflix this Thursday, also known as The Grudge, japanese horror movie franchise. I haven't watched american remakes and can't be bothered to. I did love the original japanese movie.
Hoping series will be decent.
Yes it was good, the ending made me shudder!@United Hobbit did you watch Vanishing yet?
Haha yeah agonising. I’ve only watched it once but have no plans to watch it again. Not out and out horror just a disturbing ending, and the scenes where they show the background of the psycho while he was growing up and he’s talking about his own way of looking at things have also stayed with me.Yes it was good, the ending made me shudder!
it was the fact you kept getting the glimmer of hope then its snuffed out you were almost shouting at him not to drink the coffee.Got United tonight hopefully that won't turn into the ultimate horror.
They need to make a decent new horror, we all agree there hasn't been that much good recently we should all club together and make one
Where can I see this?Interesting to see The Vanishing on here, looks like I'll be watching it tonight especially after the recommendations on here
