Not excited at all but I’ll still be watching. I’ve been forced to take some
Annual leave at work becasue I had so many hours left and all the weeks were getting booked up and we can no longer carry them over into next years- we just lose them. So I was told to take the first two weeks which just happened to be the first two of the WC. So I’ll probably watch All the group games.

Not even remotely excited. It's usually such a big deal, you can feel the buzz for it so early on. There just seems to be mostly a feeling of disinterest and dread about the entire thing.

It's just in the way.
This for me as well.

Annoyed its interrupting the PL season especially now when we are starting to turn a corner.

So many high profile players will be injured and miss out due to it being mid season. Just a pointless entity of a competition.

I Said the above earlier on in the thread, and it looks like it is coming true, Chilwell and Son can be added to the list now.

I think we will see some high profile players either not putting everything into their club performances or crying off with minor injuries just so they don't get injured in the next week.

Not really excited, more incited. I hope journalists and broadcasters use the opportunity to make investigative reporting a priority over entertainment industry.

And ignore Jürgen Klopp’s short sighted appeal to not ask players about anything to
do with the country they are doing commercials for, since it’s unfair to give young millionaires this horrible feeling of ‘pressure’.

I normally don't care too much for international football, this world cup has found a way for me to go from not caring too much to just flat out being anti

Hate to say it but Klopp made some absolutely brilliant points in his presser.

Basically stated that it was unfair to put pressure on the players and mangers to be political when we all let this world cup happen.
This was organised by other people, and I don't say you let it happen but we all let it happen. Everything was on the table.

Also said the decision to play the world cup in Qatar was nor right.

Strong words.

With both Mitrovic and Vlahovic struggling with injuries I'm no longer as excited as I was.

They've disrupted the club season around the entire world, bent over backwards for a regime that have used slave labour to build their stadiums and will throw you in prison for being yourself if your identity isn't exactly how the regime thinks you should be.

And they have the fecking nerve to then turn around and try and manipulate folk into thinking that questioning any of this is actually just us being unfair bullies, and the real victims are the poor Qatari elites who handed FIFA large envelopes?

feck them, I won't be watching a single second of this circus. It's not football anymore. It's just very rich men becoming even richer and letting us peek through a crack in a wall to see their private mansion party.

I genuinely can't wait for it to start. last couple of weeks were rough for reasons unrelated to football and I need distraction from that.

I fear that this will be full of controversy both off the pitch and on it in regards to match fixing from official with the influence of Qatar blood money

I like this idea... except I'll be stuck in the office on Monday. US vs Wales is at 2pm here. Oh, and despite the projected high of 77 (or 26 if you think in small numbers), we're supposed to have thunderstorms all day. Sunny Florida is often a myth.

Will be interesting from the perspective of watching individual performances. I can see the South American nations doing well.

As it draws closer and the squads are announced I am naturally getting more excited despite it being held in a shitehole.

on a scale of 0-10 I'd say around 0.5, because I know it will be the dernier for Cristiano Ronaldo and the tournament will be boring. No stars to think of unlike older past tournaments of 98 or 2002. WC Russia was boring too.

Dreading it tbh. I can't really even enjoy watching Netherlands play, just too stressed out to enjoy it. And living in Canada the times are awful, 7 am, 10 am or 1 pm and every netherlands game is during the week, so I have to spend the whole workday avoiding the score, while people are walking around talking about it and every fecking app on my phone needs to put out a notification telling the scores.

So if I get it right. Nobody in the entire world including the caf is excited yet the entire world including the caf will watch it feverishly?

Hypocrites! I will watch it with pleasure despite the media’s push to get us all disgusted about it. Guess what you should have started the protest earlier not 2 weeks before it starts.

My only emotional interest in the WC is seeing England lose. Other than that, I'll watch as many marquee games as I can but I know the missis won't appreciate football every day..

I’d of been more excited if it was in the summer. I don’t like the fact there’s a break from the current season. This could tire all the players out and they could come back with injury’s, not saying it can’t happen at club football because obviously it can. The break won’t be good for teams that are in form… gonna be a long season ahead for teams who make the final of cups z

Feels like the Nations League, in other words its just in the way. Everybody is focused on the league and there's barely any hype despite it starting only days from now.

I don't know what it will be like. On one hand the players are at peak fitness now and not tired from a long season, on the other they are focused elsewhere and will have less (?) time to train together beforehand.

Anyway, I hope its a spectacular failure and I won't watch any of it.

I'm not excited at all. Too many factors that come together to just make it seem 'meh'. I don't even know the date it starts and haven't bothered to check who is in each group, and I'm not feeling any buzz about this at all. It just feels wrong on so many levels and incredibly disjointed. There's a strong possibility of this tournament going down as one of the worse ones due to the negativity that surrounds it.

In short, (after the next league game) I can't wait until we will be able to get back to league football.

I keep forgetting about it

When someone said it was in 2 weeks time I nearly swallowed my tongue.

Never been less bothered about a WC. Midseason is ridiculous and we’re bound to get stories about mistreatment of the players there / poor conditions

This world cup is not for fans with such heavy restrictions, extertortionate accommodation prices, fear of being prosecuted for the slightest thing as well it not being for the players either with the still tough hot weather conditions and being played right in the middle of the season where one slight injury to a player in recent weeks all but destroys their dream of playing in the world cup for another 4 years or maybe never getting the opportunity again where as if it was in the summer they would have had plenty of time to recover and that is complete joke.

it's purely a propaganda tool for Qatar and big payday for those that accepted the bribes.

One good thing from this, it could give newly appointed Ten Hag more time to scout players compatible to his football of choice and work bit more on ones that remain. Perhaps enough time to rethink some strategies that didn't work and some new ideas emerge.

feck Qatar and feck the corrupt leeches at FIFA. That is about everything I feel about this Sportswashing Cup.
I feel the same way but I’m going to watch as it’s not the players fault and the competition is at the highest level.

Every game.

Especially excited for Argentina and Brazil.
