fans will forget him once next season begins, that's the impact he has made in 6 years.
Oooh that harsh!I won't.
We have seen the real Pogba. This has not been a one off bad season. He has completely failed to live up to his potential and has routinely failed to turn up, especially when United have needed him to to perform.Oooh that harsh!
Like me most will be disappointed at waiting for the real Paul Pogba to please stand up!
Agree with your comments, excellent. I agree especially that he’ve never played with real specialist dm or destroyer b2b in 4-2-3-1. For me, he always performs superbly when he plays at left-midfielder or offensive central midfielder. He isn’t a pure number 10 or cdm/ deep lying playmaker. He isn’t a type of player that can carry your team but he performs well when he‘s more of a supporting role ( aka France 2018). One thing that I could blame him 100% percents is his attitude and behaviors, his bad attitude has caused United a lot of bad performances during the recent years. He shouldn’t wear United’s shirt anymore, his attitude is pretty mediocre.Very good but not a perfect player in disfunctional teams.
I was happy when he rejoined the club. He was an exciting young player who did have that extra flair that makes a good team an excellent team. He started his career well. Did things on the pitch that are fun to watch. Tricks, beating his man, driving the ball from midfield and supporting the attack. Had some succes in his first season and scored the winner in the Europa League final. After that he was still very good, he was our topscorer for a season while also still providing assists because he was the only creative player in the team at the team. The team got worse over time and it became harder for Pogba to stand out in increasingly worse teams. He played for a over the hill defensive minded manager and a clueless manager. Both didnt help his performances and Mourinho (with help of the media and sour ''Fergie knew best fans'') even turned fans against him with the virus talk. Pogba himself went from a midfield with a Matic that could still move around on the pitch (i still dont consider that anywhere worldclass) to a team where he has to share the midfield with a talentless player like passion and desire, huff and puff McT. Pogba his performances got worse and he isnt good enough to do it all by himself or elevate a shit midfield to a higher level.
Over the years he did lose some of that flair that he had earlier in his career, maybe because managers asked it of him because he plays in a deeper role or maybe because he cant do it anymore. Then when Bruno arrived Pogba wasnt the sole creative option in the team anymore. Pogba had to play closer to his own goal where it showed that he cant do the defensive duties required of him. He should have a defensive midfielder next to him if he plays in that role. Just like how Frenkie de Jong is at his best with a defensive midfielder next to him when he plays in the double pivot role. I think it is a shame we never got to see him play next to a real specialist DM for Manchester United.
By now Pogba isnt often showing the flair that made Manchester United sometimes fun to watch because of Pogba moments, he is often injured and looks a lot slower and less dynamic than in his earlier seasons. I do like him as a player, i think the way fans treat him is ridiculous but i wouldnt mind if he left. It has been a bad match for both parties. Pogba wasted the best years of his career in bad teams, didnt win much and Manchester United lost a lot of money without getting what they hoped for.
I think that he'll be quickly forgotten.
I gave that up years ago and I wont miss him in the slightest.Oooh that harsh!

Pogba knew how demanding the Prem was, that every match has is a battle and players have to give 110%, so I keep asking myself "why did he return?" and "why did he sign a new contract in 2019 when it was very clear he wasnt likely to win major trophies for another two seasons at least?"I'll remember him as a very limited player, who frustratingly only really works in one position in one formation. Undeniably talented, but so are many other footballers out there. He needs more energetic players alongside him to do all of the legwork because he can't be arsed. I wouldn't quite call it unprofessional, but he doesn't do enough when he's playing. It's lovely making all of these great passes and looking amazing in these YouTube compilations, and it's especially easy if you've got all of these other players around you at national and international level enabling you to be this way.
You wouldn't want him in the trenches with you. If we were a Bayern Munich style side who walked the league and had it on easy mode, then he would be classed as the best in his position in the world, no doubt about it. He would look amazing because there's no challenge, so he's free to do whatever he likes. But that's not where we are right now, and for what we need from our midfield, he doesn't do anywhere near enough.
Wasn't it also one of the reasons SAF brought Scholesy back from retirement, because Pogba couldn't cut it? (or am I getting the timing wrongs?)Why did we ever resign him? Ferguson was right all along, remember when he played Fabio? in midfield instead of Pogba
The short answer is Raiola promising him the world and delivering him a cabbage patch.Pogba knew how demanding the Prem was, that every match has is a battle and players have to give 110%, so I keep asking myself "why did he return?" and "why did he sign a new contract in 2019 when it was very clear he wasnt likely to win major trophies for another two seasons at least?"
